I rewatched BHD the other night and wonder why I always forget to add it to the "movies you can watch over and over" and "favorite movies" threads. I could see it every week and probably not get tired of it.

I can never watch it without getting sad though, knowing those events actually occurred. Especially the two Delta Team Snipers who voluntarily stayed with the downed Blackhawk to secure the area and help the pilot. That takes guts of steel. Seeing the names scroll by at the end is also very sobering.

Anyone else really like it? Give me your comments.

Excellent movie...I watched it again this past weekend. I haven't read the book, but it's next on my list.

forgot about the snipers.....but yeah, this movie has GREAT replay value...I always see thigns I missed previous times.

And its got that guy that looks JUST like Tony Hawk in it....that makes it worthwhile! :p

Funny I was thinking the same thing. My dad has the book and kept telling me to read it. I am going to borrow it next time I see him.

You know, the bravery of those two snipers almost brought tears to my eyes. Great movie.

You aren't kidding. Even worse is they dragged their mutilated corpses through the streets. Nobody deserves that. :( They showed something about that on the Discovery Channel I think with a few pics.

What else is new? LOL. "Leaders" are always willing to squander young lives for b.s. causes. I am not going any further with that since it will start sounding like P&N but history is full of cases.

As for the soldiers doing what they were told to you can't help but admire their courage and resolve. That had to be terrifying with the enemy swarming around you in entire city blocks, vastly outnumbering you.

The military wasn't the one making the bad decisions. It was the politicians *cough*Clinton*cough* in D.C.

The two snipers, Sgt. 1st Class Randy Shughart and Master Sgt. Gary Gordon, were awarded Medals of Honor posthumously. True American heros.
