Newegg has some really good deals on SSDs right now. 480GB SanDisk Ultra 2 is $109, 500GB Samsung EVO is $150 with free AC:Syndicate. I'm waiting until tomorrow to see if they drop lower.

Yeah yesterday, I ordered the Samsung EVO 500gb msata SSD for $150 with AC. msata drives never go on sale so it'll be a nice upgrade for my laptop. Also got a Samsung Pro Class 10 mSDXC 64gb 90mb/s for $19 and a few LED lightbulbs for $5.

Not in the need for one but lots of great deals on HDTVS and laptops online.

Surprising, that. Crucial is right on par with the Samsung evo's. Cheapest $ to GB on a quality SSD I've ever seen.

...and I caved. Bought 2 3TB Seagate drives. Came up to $333, which is not bad at all for 6TB of total space. That's going to be 2 extra drives to add to my backup pool and 3TB is enough to do my whole environment (the important stuff). I currently have 3 1TB drives that stuff is split across but now I'll be able to have everything on one drive. I had 6 1TB drives but 3 of them died so I was running with only a single rotation.

I need 2 3TB higher end drives to grow one of my raid arrays, but I'll wait and see if those go on sale on Boxing Day. Probably get Toshibas as that's what I currently have for that array. I like to stick to the same brand.

It wasn't so bad. I reloaded a webpage about a dozen times waiting for a sale to go live, then spent 2 hours reading/watching reviews on the 3 competing products I had a choice of. Then I made a purchase.

While the rest of America was busting thru doors, I watched the sun rise.
It was quite lovely. Just a bit hazy, and most of the colors of the rainbow. On top of which there was a foggy full moon on the other side of the sky. It too was lovely.

I don't get it? All the deals are all shitty stuff like socks, shitty TV's, shitty gadgets that know one buys even if it's 99% off and unknown stuff that we have never even heard of. What's all the fuss?
I never been shopping when Black Friday starts. Waste of time imo.

All I want for Christmas is a decent coffee machine...can I even find one tomorrow?:thumbsdown::thumbsdown:

This is UK btw, not sure if it's the same in the US or whatever.

Also is there a official website where I can see all the discounted items? Or do I have to find them myself? Just wondering.

My rant for today.

I wouldn't say shitty TV's. I've seen some half-decent Samsung 4k's that have peaked my interest. In the end, I realize how much I just don't need it.

The issue I have, is this is all targetted at the retarded middle-class. I have a fuckin 42" crappy plasma TV that has served its purpose just fine. I feel no need to get a 55", 65", 4k, or any other bullshit. It's 42" and it shows a decent picture. Unless I'm trying to build a home theater, I have zero reason to upgrade my TV just to watch things like The Daily Show.

That's why Black Friday sucks so much. I could use tons of things around the house like a new drill, but there is nothing amazing as far as deals go.

And Amazon's version of hot deals making stupid random crap on sale for $5 instead of $7? Get bent. I don't need that shit, and it isn't a good deal either.

Because you found nothing of value for yourself, no other people will find anything of value either? Well, that certainly is flawless logic.

Got a great deal on an electric smoker, 50% off, Amazon price matched another deal site for a couple hours.
