That's a good question. If anyone knows, I'd love to know when. How long will it last? I.e., will that deal be good for half an hour? Or 3 minutes?

And, what does the 'F' stand for in FHDTV? (Or rather, I know it means full - but I thought any 40" or larger 1080p was full - no one else seems to use it, or have I just not been looking closely enough?

Amazon dropped the 60" Vizio $50 today to $949.99. Still wondering when/how the price match with Walmart happens. Anyone been following how Amazon has price adjusted this season?

Check the Amazon Black Friday page - you can see how it works - they have things on sale only during a certain time slot - or until they sell out, whichever comes first. They've announced their schedule for DVDs, Blu-rays, etc., but you can only find out what big items are going to be for sale, and when, at the beginning of the day.

I've added deals from Fry's, online only. On Thursday starting at 9am go to fry's.com/ads and order online for in-store pickup Friday.

So...I have a crappy Slyvania 27" tube TV...those $97 32" offbrands are tempting. I'd definitely grab one from Amazon if I see it at that price (not yet, still set at the "normal sale price").

I want that Vizio 60" smart tv from Walmart but don't know if I am willing to devote several hours to waiting in line for it. 🙁

Ditto. I believe it goes on sale at 10pm. Since I wouldn't have to wait outside in a line (I hope), I might just go down there around 9pm and see if any of the items I liked for their 8pm sale are still left. (2HP shop vac.) I'm really kind of hoping it isn't a high demand item in my area. I think that the "kind" of people (no offense meant) who would stand in line for hours upon hours to wait for a television would more likely be waiting for a $198 40" television. Then again, will they have just one per store? 2 per store? Who knows??

I think that what I'm really hoping is that the masses are stupid - well, this I know. But, I'm hoping they're thinking "60 inches? That's only 20 more inches, and for almost $500 more dollars??" When, in reality, it's about 225% larger. My fingers are crossed though - and I'm actually supposed to pick up two of them. (Nephew wants one picked up for his parents; his job doesn't leave him time to come in.)

For anyone looking to score a TV from amazon.com, here are the steps:

- Go to amazon.com, in the top right corner next to Black Friday Deals Week click on Shop Now
- On the left side click on TV, Video & Audio
- Now in the middle click on All Available, or Upcoming, and click the left or right arrows to scroll through them.

The 60" Vizio LED smart TV for $688 will go on sale around 5:30pm today, PST.

It will probably sell out instantly. The button will appear and then you click it as fast as you can. You will probably be late no matter how fast you press the button. You shouldn't refresh the page, that won't help you and might in fact hurt you. Don't bother putting it in your cart, that won't help

Great. I didn't even know when that deal was supposed to go live. How did you know?

Glad you got one at least.

Some advice from the thread I made at SomethingAwful:

A quick word of warning: I've been digging through Amazon's code for how the lightning deals refresh, and if you let the page update itself, you might not see the Add to Cart button for up to 10-30 seconds after the item actually becomes available. My suggestion is to keep one browser window open for the auto refresh of the lightning deals list, and one browser window with you manually refreshing the actual product page (where the lightning deal is also made available), and just try to add it to your cart from whichever shows it first.

Just something to consider.

All gone. I was waiting... clickclickclickclick... waitlist full.

😵

I was on at 5:30pm and when the TV went on sale I clicked to purchase it paused for a second and then said sold out. I am glad I only wasted 5 minutes of my time. I believe they only had a few for sale and it was the old bait sale game. Did anyone out there get one?

Got the 60" Vizio from Walmart. Now I've got a BIG ass tv to watch FSU vs Florida Saturday. Life is good.
