It would be even easier to put it away without releasing it by just putting it away. That's what I did. I don't give a rats ass where Obama was born or how old his mother was whe it happened. Obama has no conscious memory of it anyway. Who gives a rat's ass.
I give as much of a crap about this as I would about a guy being disqualified because he was an hour short of being 35 years old taking office. This is a problem only for nit picking assholes.

Hawaii has several types of 'birth certificates'.
E.g., there's the type for children born in a hospital. There's a 'call in' type birth certificate, presumably for births at home. IIRC, the requirments for the latter are rather casual - just need two people to say the kid was born etc and they will issue a certificate of live birth.
What Hawaii issued is neither. It's merely an offical HA gov 'statement' saying some type of 'birth certificate' exists, whether it's a regular hospital birth certificate or the 'call -in' type cannot be determined from the form issued by HA and posted on the internet.
So, no, the actual birth certificate - whatever the type - has not been released.

Im not saying Obama isnt a natural born US Citizen. But if he isnt, he shouldnt be president. Same reason Arnie cant run.
The Supreme Court has decided that for all legal purposes, there is no "IF HE ISN'T." If the best anyone has is speculation or conjecture to the contrary, their best chance of overturning the election would be by raising Obama's dead mother and father and getting them to testify about it. Anything short of that would best be described as a monumental jackoff.
The Republican Party is basically the party of white conservative southerners, a demographic that is rapidly faltering in population trends. The fact of the matter is that they are going crazy because they are afraid. Afraid of losing the "real America" they know. Afraid of losing societal privilege. Afraid of having to share the stage with outsiders.

In case anyone is interested, Obama's birth was announced in both major Honolulu papers after his birth. I'm sure his scheming parents phoned it in from Kenya as the first step in their nefarious plot to get a muslim/socialist sleeper elected president though. Continue tin-foil convention. I hear the "Black Helicopters" seminar @7:30 is a real interesting one ......
Actually the only organization that could place the birth notices in the paper was the Hawaii Department of Health (or whatever it was called then) They regularly placed notices after being given birth certificates by hospitals, but for the other type of certificate that Fern is referencing it typically took much, much longer to make it into the papers if it did at all.
As for what lupi said, people still think we faked the moon landing. We have a probe that will be doing a flyby of the Apollo 11 area in the relatively near future and it should be able to photograph the equipment left over from our missions there. Do you think seeing those photos will affect the moon crazies in the slightest? Same with the birth certificate crazies here.
You've got to be pretty fucking stupid or pretty fucking crazy to still be questioning Obama's birth certificate at this point.

What's really sad is that everyone already knows for fact that McCain was not born inside the United States, but in the Panama Canal Zone, and that special legislation had to be passed certifying him as eligible to run for the Presidency (legislation sponsored by Obama BTW, among others). So when wingnuts discount the obvious and clear evidence that Obama has already provided a REAL birth certificate, supported by independent sources and state of Hawaii officials, it just reeks of blatant obvious racism. The legitimacy of the white candidate we all know was born outside the states is unquestioned, but the legitimacy of the brown-skinned President we all was born inside the states IS questioned. By this utterly transparent act of bigotry, the wingnuts marginalize themselves as nothing but shithead racists, hypocrites to their own calls of freedom for all, and worthy of nothing but contempt and scorn. And thus falls the Republican party, our only hope against the Democrats.

Interesting. My own conclusion matches yours but I didn't trust myself to express it. I could think of no other explanation for the insane vituperation expressed by these wing-nuts other than transfered rascism, but I hesitated to make such a charge because it has become de rigueur to call those who see rascism as rascists themselves

I'm not sure why you think this is about racism - there were plenty of batshit crazy conspiracy theories during past presidencies as well. These are probably the same folks who claimed for years that Vince Foster was murdered by the Clinton administration.
