Just when I thought the Republican party had meekly fallen in behind their new leader, there's this. Interesting - I wonder if he'll tout the Libertarian Party which is so not his thing - or yet another candidate.

Weekly Standard editor Bill Kristol sent out a provocative tweet Sunday, calling for a "heads up over this holiday weekend" that another presidential candidate -- an independent -- would be entering the race for the White House.

Kristol said no more Sunday evening, beyond the tweet, which referred to the yet-to-be-named candidate as "an impressive one, with a strong team and a real chance."

I think the real game plan is to steal enough votes so that there is no victor in the elec college and the GOP house gets to pick the potus. Then the GOP establishment can get it's candidate without having to do that whole appeal to the electorate nonsense.

He's right, they have no chance of winning. They do have a chance of affecting the outcome though.

That being said this is Bill Kristol, probably one of the most highly dishonest, least reliable commentators alive. If he told me water was wet I would want to go back and confirm.
