Obligatory you are a danger to society post. I hope you die from irresponsibility before you endanger my baby/parents/significant other.

street bike (not crotch rocket style), went 120 MPH. It was scary and looking back it was pretty stupid but it was a rush for sure. It was a Nighthawk 750 I believe

Don't ride, only been a passenger once and at 40 mph I was scared sh!tless.

I heard the faster you go the more stable the bike feels though. True?

i'm ashamed to admit i pushed the bike to the limit of the speedo. At that speed, if you have time to stare at your speedo, you're doing something wrong!!!! FWIW, everything over 100mph feels the same. Going that fast is plain retarded. Hell, i won't even go over 75mph anymore.

Being an ex EMT, I do not have a bike or ever will. They look fun but but if you wipe out you'll look just like a crayon on pavement.

Modern day bikes aren't designed for carving corners at 25mph. Yes, there is some comfort at a higher rate of speed, but it is within reason, and it's usually only professionals or people who've had their bikes tuned out who'll be able to take advantage of it. Your average rider will never even take advantage of HALF of the capabilities that a sportbike has to offer.

you know i could be as rude as you are with my response but no.

I made sure i wasn't near any residential area. I made sure the highway was clear, and the only person
I was endangering was myself.

Its a little harsh to wish death on someone.

i don't think i desreve that.

calm down, he did say "Obligatory" as in someone would eventually say it because that's what usually happens in threads on these subjects.

75 mph on my 450cc standard. If I redline in 5th she'd probably pull 80, but I think that putting her in overdrive (6th) would slow her down after that. She likes to cruise at about 65, which is fine since I ride on rural routes and not highways.

Yea I don't care what you do. I think its awesome when I see bikes flying past me on an interstate late at night. One time these two guys were pacing me at 80, then they popped wheelies and took off to at least 120. It was like my own little stunt show.

Dude, you live in Florida. You have no reason NOT to goto the Daytona Stunt Show. It's one of the biggest (if not the biggest) stunt shows in the US.

Wild tangent, but ill ask anyway. I wanna get a bike half way thru the summer. What exactly do you need to do to get a bike license? I had one since i was 12, but that was in europe so it doesnt really mean much. Plus i havent ridden one in about 4 years now....

120 on my 84 Interceptor 700.
Could have gone higher but the curve in the road ahead was getting closer to me at an astonishing rate.

Hey, I haven't ever driven/ridden a bike, but it'd be cool as hell. Their acceleration is unreal. I've got a question for you guys, how fast have you gone in a car, and whats the comparison? Is a bike a lot scarier? The wind buffeting would be crazy. I've only ever gone fast in car and was just kinda curious about the difference.

having known both someone who died while driving like a fvcking maniac on his bike and knowing the family of someone killed by a fvcking idiot going 120mph, I'd have to say anyone is do so is.....a fvcking idiot. At 100mph+ you cannot slow or stop fast enough in the event you happen upon unexpected traffic or pedestrians. Ypu put yourself and others in danger by doing so.
