i hit 35 on a little mini bike going through a trail in a corn field once
unfortunately the trail got rough, i went into the wooded area, got scared, clutched, got the revs really high because my wrist locked in panic
the sound of the high reving engine somehow prompted me to dump the clutch
did a big wheelie into a HUGE thorn bush
the gas tank(empty big slam bottle) was held on with a hose clamp
the excess metal band of the hose clamp cut through my pants and pierced my scrotum
i had HUNDREDS of thorns stuck all over me and had to get stitches in my sack

i was 15
i'm 25 now, and still not ready for motorcycles :)

Hey, I haven't ever driven/ridden a bike, but it'd be cool as hell. Their acceleration is unreal. I've got a question for you guys, how fast have you gone in a car, and whats the comparison? Is a bike a lot scarier? The wind buffeting would be crazy. I've only ever gone fast in car and was just kinda curious about the difference.

imagine throwing a paper airplane into oncoming wind...the wind just picks the airplane right up and swoops it away. Same thing with a bike doing ~70mph or riding by semi trucks. Riding in a car at high speeds is nowhere near as dangerous and scary as in a bike at those speeds.

sounds like Darwin sent him on a quick trip to Heaven. The guy was bound to die driving at those speeds on the streets anyways. I hate to say it, but he deserved it.

About 25 mph on my brother's old kawasaki 650 something or rather. I didn't have a motorcycling license, and he didn't know i took it, so I just drove down the street and back

This brings a fun story to mind. There is a stretch of I10 between here and a neighboring city, about 25 miles away. About 2 in the morning I was coming back doing about 120-125 or so on my CBR900RR. All of a sudden a state trooper pulls up beside me in a 5.0. He points at me and wags his finger as to say "no-no". I start slowing and he punches it and takes off. It had to be the funniest thing I've experienced on a bike :)

had a moped ( bicycle with motor on top of the wheel, old as he!!) that I topped out at 7.5 mph. Talk about everything being a blur when I drove by.

I know what you mean. There are 2 TKP bikes in my town here, one is a co-worker and good friend of my brother's and a good friend of mine too (The one Itook the blast on) and the other guy that has one is just a "aquaintence" I know. The one my friend has Ibelieve is 400+ HP. I think it was like $18K to "upgrade" to their hi-end package over the price of the bike. Basically he bought a new 'Busa and drove it down there, dropped it off and rode back with my bro who followed him down there. That thing is the essence of evil. Jet black with neon-green accents. The other guy's is stock looking except for it was "streched" a bit and is about 340Hp.

I had a 1984 Kawasaki gpz 550 that hit 122mph on the speedo in the city and county of San Francisco and there is only one place here that you can do this.

It is not the speed that kills, it is the "sudden stop" that hurts!

My ex hubby has a BMW motorbike. He used to drive, with me on the back, thru the windy/twisted British roads at speeds in excess of 125 miles per hours. I was terrified at first, but after a while, it seemed like the norm. He would never speed when any other vehicles were around, and behaved on the motorways, but if there was no one around and it was a quiet road....

.... zoom!!
