Huh. I don't know anyone like that. I'M certainly not 'worried' about them. They piss me off, that's all. That's what this thread is about, that's why I posted.

I suppose it could be worse, I could be some kind of elitist internet f@#ktard, who's never stepped foot into a gym posting stoopid sh!t in threads to increase my post count because I know that my 'internet penis' increases in size with my status in online forums.

Now THAT would be teh suck. I would probably decide to swallow 117 grains of 9mm goodness and do the world a favor. It's already obvious that I'd never spread my seed, so luckily I don't have to worry about further polluting the gene pool. Whew, the world dodged THAT bullet.

Tard.

LOL! Damn dude... he really must have hit a nerve with that comment. :)

patience is a virtue.

I think we both know you can do something(another set, stretch, stare at a chicks ass) for a minute until you see that the fountain is unoccupied.

Look, I am polite enough to step aside and let someone drink if I am filling a bottle and have done so on countless occations. It is NOT too much for me to expect the same from others.

I can beat that story...no pun intended. I was in the steam room years ago and happened to be by myself and some asshat comes in, takes his towel off and starts BEATING OFF. :Q I grabbed my towel and quickly left the room. What kind of freak does something like this??? :Q

it is polite I agree but at the same time I think it would also be polite to wait for someone to finish using the fountain instead of lingering around pressuring them to finish unless of course they are lingering around not using the fountain.

Guys hitting on anything with a female gene in it. Unless they are a fatty I have all these guys that will just crowd around ANY girl/lady that walks in the gym and start talking with her while she is trying to workout. And no, they aren't catching up on old conversation either.

True that. I hate it when people fill their entire bottle while the line forms.

my point is that the politeness is a two way road. Yes you can be polit eand let someone take drink ahead of you. Yes you can be polite and let someone finish before accessing the fountain. Try to do both.

Um, no. The person filling their bottle is monopolizing the fountain for an unreasonable amount of time and already HAS some water from which to drink from. The people behind him will take less time and have no water on their person from which to drink.

The bottle guy can step aside and allow others to drink and then resume when no one is waiting.

I'm with gigapet on this one...I try to be polite and let others get a drink if I'm filling up my bottle, but what happens often is that everytime I let one of em get a drink, 2 seconds later, theres someone else wanting a drink. Neverending cycle. I don't know why gyms dont have 2 fountains like I've seen at some places, where one is for drinking and the other for filling water bottles. At peak times, you have close to a 100 people at the gym, but only 1 water fountain. There's gonna be a line, bottles or not.

I have only one gym pet peeve: SPANDEX. This is gotta be the worst creation of the human kind. I don't care how hot the girl is or how skinny the guy is - nobody should be subjected to seeing another person in spandex.

your immediate gratification isnt anyones priority but your own. Both parties involved should be polite. I am not arguing with you on this as we agree...that it is polite to step aside.

i walk around unashamedly towel-less in the locker room;)

my gym has only 1 power rack & it's the main thing i use,
so if someone's doing barbell curls in it when i get there i
do feel some irritation, particularly if they have the
marks of a poseur: bad form, the weight's way too much for them,
the weight's really light, wearing gloves, sleeveless muscle-shirt,
heavy cologne, etc.

if i cant fill my water bottle from the fountain where shall I fill it then? Can you not wait a minute or find another fountain?

if a hot girl goes to the gym and doesnt want ppl to stare why must they wear hot outfits and have make up on? sure sometimes staring can become creepy when you do not make an effort to also communicate with words.

You can fill it when no one is waiting. Or if you are filling it and someone comes up behind you, step aside and allow them to take a drink.

As for the girl issue, how would you feel if someone was constantly staring at you while you tried to work out?

I can fill the water bottle when its my turn....I dont think your need for water supercedes my own...I waited in line and you can too.

Jesus Christ you stupid ass tard. It's general politeness, and common courtesy. Let the person take their 5-second drink before you fill up for 30 seconds. Can you not comprehend this? Are you a goddamn robot? I've lurked here for a few years now and you've never failed to amaze me.

WTF do you care? Man when I go to the gym I concentrate on my workout. I don't have the time to worry about how somebody else works out or what part of the body they work on.

Because they look stupid and they think they look good! They almost look like a cartoon character: huge chest and arms, pot belly, legs the same thickness as tin cans.

listening to you bicker over 30 seconds is quite nauseating. If you cannot wait for someone to do something for 30 seconds get help.

Oh and yeah I agreed already that it is courteous to allow someone to go ahead of you first but I also stated it is equally courteous to wait until the fountain is free as not pressure someone because of selfish reasons like you need your WATER NOW!

guilty as charged...its a fun way to get someone else to talk while simultaneously challenging them to question why they think the way they do and eleciting their values, morals and beliefs.
