My local CompUSA has Super Monkey Ball 2 on clearance for $19.99 or $19.95 or something like that. Not sure if its regional.

edit: I should mention that the local store I am referring to is in Las Vegas, the one on Sahara & Valley View

She said that it was DEFINITELY a rumor then because she's never heard anything about being able to pirate GC games. Shows how clueless the reps are about all this at this point: Normally they follow a script when you bring something like that up, so they haven't even been told about the new exploit. I'd expect NOA to follow suit if NOE really did pull the BBA.

Some time later...

BBA still being sold at NOA's online store!

You mean backordered (See the product description). We've known all along that it's still listed there ;)

Now you gotta ask yourself: Will they ever restock?!

Edit: Refering to the Zelda Bonus Disc, not BBA ;)

Get them. I got two on clearance at Walmart and one sold for $90 on eBay to a UKer (I kept the other)! I got two more from Nintendo before the backorder (They ship in little baggies with a "Genuine Nintendo Spare Part" label.)

Fayetteville GA's TRU has none. Never has.

That's good to hear. MK:DD or Kirby's Air Ride players should get them while they last. You probably wont find them anywhere else. Order one for you and one for whoever you plan on playing with to save on shipping.

"Whoever" can be plural. :D "Order one for whoever" means one for each friend who has a GC. Make them pay their share or keep it and only let them use it during the hook up (Great way to blackmail them into always having you in the LAN)

I noticed this too. And I am wondering how the game registration will be verified since I plan on getting a second game to go with Mario Kart. Mario Party 5 comes out Nov10. Maybe there's something inside that can be used on Nintendo's site to register? Anyone want to do a little checking to see how the proceess will be like?

dont you guys feel silly constantly using that 5$ off coupon and buying all these gcs everytime you want a game? sounds like a hassle. And the last thing i want is some retarded cashier noticing me doing it and giving me crap..

If 2 minutes of your time isn't worth $5, then don't bother. I feel that 1-2 minutes of my time to purchase the card, take it out, and hand it back is worth the $5 off.

About the Gift Cards... Just get them NOW before you even want a game. They expire in December 2004 and they're as good as cash for me! That's what I've been doing. In Fayetteville, GA, they told me there is no minimum amount so I always put $5 on one and double my money. I can only use one coupon at a tiime, but the 2 I have (I've already spent some) will certainly get spent next year some time. And don't pretend that you have to sit on the $5 gift card until then... That really is as good as cash. I used one $5 coupon, two $5 gift cards, and 10 McDonald's Monopoly Best Buy Bucks on an open-box MS Sidewinder Force Feedback Wheel. I intend to use another on a Logitech Speedforce for Gamecube as I just scored the Speed Force Accessory Pack for $7.99. In Douglassville, GA, the "Gamer's Gift Cards" have green paper inserts and an expiration date this year. I tried to buy one anyway but I was told that the minimum was $20 (For worse than doubling my money each time in Fayetteville).

Responding to an old post but...

Hey, not sure if anybody realizes it, but Nintendo has been using the exact same video cables since Super NES, so if you have S-video Cables for your Super NES or N64, you can use that with your Gamecube.

I had one for Super NES back in the day so I dug it up. Works great!

Not exactly the same (The GC ships the cable with a black plastic connector instead of grey), but yeah. I've been using my S-Video cable from my Super Famicom (Japanese SNES... "Super Nintendo Entertainment System") all along. My component cables are in the mail though :)

What's even cooler is that, except for the letters embossed on the plastic case, they've used the exact same Automatic RF Switch since the NES days (The original Nintendo Entertainment System). Of course, the modulation is no longer included in the console. The redesigned "model 2" SNES, the N64 and the Gamecube all require a RF Modulator / Switch set. You can buy the modulator individually from Nintendo at a slight discount on the whole set.

Check your local Gamestop / Funcoland / Babbages / Software Etc stores (All the same thing) for the Logitech Speed Force Accessory Pack. I'm not sure if they keep them in stock at all, but (I think) this is actually a deal for ones that may have been traded in so BIG YMMV.

In Douglassville, GA, I found the accessory pack with a "$29.99" tag (MSRP), which was stuck over another tag (Greater than MSRP?!). Beneath that was a sticker which said "30% off." The box was not sealed, but it didn't look like there ever was a seal. I decided that any discount was worth it because I would be buiying a Speed Force wheel for F-Zero in the future and even second-hand it didn't seem to be cheap on eBay. When I took it up to the register, I was actually going to ask if it was second-hand, but then it rang up at $9.99 and he proceeded to take off the 30% discount! I had no reservations at all at that point no matter if it was new, and didn't intend to express any should the clerk notice the too-cheap price and say it was a price mistake or something :)

The information packet was still sealed but the wheel had definately been out of the box before (The pedal cables were just wrapped around the pedals). It was definitely their $29.99 sticker on the box and that is the retail price for a brand-new accessory pack, so perhaps they are all ringing up as $9.99 and the 30% is because it's preowned?

Any reports from other reigions would be useful :)
