"Ignoring the rude man who can't understand why despite being told and on to the intended discussion..."

I understand exactly, you're advocating theft, plain and simple.

"Might wanna take these games off the list... They're now FREE "

That isn't a Hot Deal. This thread and this forum are not for discussig illegal ways to rip off companies.

A couple likely deals:

Walmart in Peachtree City, GA has the GC for $92.99 (Or $92, I don't remember). Is this available at other locations?

Metal gear Solid: The Twin Snakes will be $36.99 @ Costco.com if you "Advance Order" it (Fully-paid preorder). Historically, the longer you wait the higher the price gets with Costco. (That GB Player deal was dead long before it was released).

Linky (hope it still worky)

Shipping will be $4.98, so it's not too bad for a first-class exclusive title (No "rehash" backlash please).

Hilarious! You actually think you're convincing people by taking things out of context as if they're too stupid to read for themselves. Or were you simply forced to resort to that? AMAZING.

First, you say I advocate piracy. Quoting myself:
Seriously, DO NOT use this to rip-off Nintendo. They're finally getting the break they need in the market.
Did you not read that or do you not know what advocacy is?
rolleye.gif

Me again:
I own 4 N64 backup devices and have not used them illegally so I trust that you will act responsibly too.
Why would I advocate doing something I clearly do not do myself? In fact, I called Nintendo back this very day to make a formal report because it was clear that their representatives would not know how to respond to a press inquiry if they didn't know it existed. I gave all source information and my name, phone number and address. I practice what I preach and *I* for one am glad to know about this. Your argument that I was "advocating theft" is not only weak, it's an out-right lie.

Then, you stoop to quoting the punchline entirely out of context. You even removed the wink you bastage! That's below the belt. What, did you think I wouldn't go back and correct you so others would simply read your "short version" and agree with your synopsis? You also left out the point, which was relevant to Hot Deals. Boy you sure taught me to never spice up a post for fear of retribution with an out-of-context quote.
rolleye.gif
Good job! Grow up. Stop forcing people to reiterate what you didn't think should be said in the first place and get back to contributing yourself...

";)"

Once again so no one will misinterpret it:

If you've wanted PSO + BBA all along for any OTHER reason but never got around to buying it, the news above indicates that you had better buy it quick or you may not be able to. Simple. Just like announcing that something was on clearance so you'd better get it now. In fact, I already DID announce that some Walmarts had BBAs on clearance some time before this development (That's where I got my 2 units). I even used the PSO exploit as a selling point before piracy was possible. Extra information substantiates advice. We all know the cancelation would be totally ignored if it were not for the shred of reason given by the additional news I provided. That's how rumors work. And do not say rumors are irrelevant because we all see the $99 Gamecubes in stores right now (And see above).

Posting a list of games and saying guess what, you can pirate them now, but hurry up and buy the stuff you need because it might get pulled..

and thinking putting a winking icon and telling people, now don't steal things, even though I'm going out of my way to tell you how and why you need to run out and buy the stuff, puts you in the clear..

And as far as quoting, there isn't any reason to quote entire messages, everybody can see them and what I decided to quote; I quoted the parts of your message I found relevant. Your argument that a winking icon justifies posting a detailed list of exactly what people can pirate and descriptions of the details,

I mean what justification do you have for posting that list of pirated games in Hot Deals ?

If you wanted to tell people that wanted the BBA or PSO for legitimate reasons that they might be pulled off the market, why not just say that ? No need for links to piracy tools and lists of games that can be pirated.

Not that I can see.

That list is from the NFO file posted at every news site regarding it. The NFO *IS* the announcement. Before posting, I realized that a direct copy/paste would be too long. I shortened it to just the information relevant for the punchline: SO CRUCIFY ME!
If you wanted to tell people that wanted the BBA or PSO for legitimate reasons that they might be pulled off the market, why not just say that ?
THAT'S EXACTLY WHAT I HAVE BEEN TELLING PEOPLE ALL ALONG! I specifically point out the need to buy it now to anyone who has Mario Kart pre-ordered (I do). Look at my past posts in this thread regarding it before piracy was possible. READ the paragraph right above your post where it says
If you've wanted PSO + BBA all along for any OTHER reason but never got around to buying it, the news above indicates that you had better buy it quick or you may not be able to

Once again, you see what you want to see and you totally ignored the point despite reiterating it. Fraud. I thought for once we could be mature enough to not let it spin out of control into this and now all I am doing is defending with points I was sure to make before hand.

"That list is from the NFO file posted at every news site regarding it. "

What kind of "news" site ?

I couldn't find it at cnn.com..

Well, it's not hard to find out. I just typed "Animal Crossing Loader NFO" into Google and found three sites ALL with it quoted on the front page or listed under "Read More" with an excerpt as the news post. ALL were perfectly legal GC homebrew software community news sites (What else was there to report on?).

Obviously I'm trying to get the word out before "CNN" picks it up so we have a fighting chance at getting our BBAs should production stop. How would you like to deal with the current rarity of the product combined with the production stoppage combined with the public announcement to every immoral soul and Mario Kart pre-order holder out there? Once it's public, you might as well be that last to know because they'll all be gone for legitimate reasons or not. Quick paste for the announcement (Actually, shortened a bit). I'm sure the formatting is screwed up

NFO Quote Deleted. Sorry, it was still WAY too long. It originally intended to show that original quote was taken directly from it and demonstrate WHY I had to truncate it.

I know where the that kind of sh!t comes from, I was being sarcastic about you're assuming that everbody considers that kind of crap part of the mainstream when it's more like the fringes of the internet sewer.

This is a Hot Deals forum, it isn't part of the warez scene. And the legality of those kind of sites is very questionable, they hope to survive by claiming to only provide information, nod, nod, wink, wink, but many of them have been shut down and will be in the future. Personally I'm not interested in their game of charades, once sites like that post NFOs, or as you perhaps did without thinking posted here, twice now, it makes it much simpler for the average person to find out the real sources for the pirated stuff, since you and/or them are telling people what to look for and what they can get.

I do think I understand why you posted it now, but I still think a simple message telling people they might want to pick up those items because pirates might make a rush on them, would have been sufficient.

I probably should have simply left the quote out and linked to the news elsewhere, but I thought it jokingly tied things in even better.

As for all of these news sites being shady: Certainly not! They are nothing like "ISONEWS" or "DCWAREZ" Here's what a little searching turned up...
1 (Purely provided news of GC application developments.THERE WAS NOTHING SHADY TO REPORT ABOUT UNTIL NOW)
2 (What else did the GC section previously exist for? HOMEBREW SOFTWARE)
3 (Developer forum. Same kind of news MINUS NFOs or the AC Loader)
4 (Like a Slashdot for GC coders / developers)
5 (An excellent French site I've stumbled across before)

BTW, not only pirates will be rusing in on them, but Mario Kart pre-orderers will also. Too many variables...

I should not have responded with anything but a reiteration but I was previously ignoring you and thought you had ample time to re-read it :)

Thank you for understanding.

Gamestop's been running a bunch of 24-hour sales lately. Some are better than others, so you might want to check them out every other day or so.

Right now, it's
"Receive FREE 2-DAY SHIPPING all pre-release PC and video games!" Not very hot, but for those who gotta have Mario Kart guaranteed ASAP...

1 Day, 10 hours as of now.

Blatantly stolen from Fatwallet (Thanks rista and SillySimon!):

Pre-order from Wal-Mart:

"Celebrity Deathmatch" $19.82

"Tonka Rescue Patrol" $19.82

"Butt-Ugly Martians - Zoom or Doom" $19.82

"The Haunted Mansion" $19.82 - this might come with a free pass to see the upcoming movie - Also, this game appears to be out already, but it's still showing up as a Pre-Order on Wal-Mart's site.

Checked again... Gamecube is definitely $92.99 in Peachtree City, Georgia's Walmart Supercenter.
Everything is on hand-written shelf tags taped on the glass so I think it may be limited to this Walmart.
/EDIT: Called Newnan, GA Walmart. They initially said "Yes" when I asked if their price was the same then when I asked $92.99?" (Stressing the two) the representative said "Oh! No it's $99.99" (The Walmart website shows $99.44).
Funny... Peachtree City always charges more than any other Walmart because of the rich area :)

Walmart has a black gamecube with an additional controller (2 controllers total) for $99.44 on their website. Good deal get an extra controller for the normal price of a gamecube. Now if this only came in platinum...

Walmart link

Anyone know, platinum gamecubes seem hard to find, and amazon, gamestop and circuit city websites seem to be the only ones with any left. Does amazon pricematch, and any chance they will do a pricematch to a platinum.

That's a good deal for Sunshine! I'll have to alert my friend who doesn't own it...

Just saw that walmart.com is including some games for free with an indigo gamecube. You can choose SW: Rogue Leader, Dave Mirra BMX 2, SSX Tricky, THPS 3 or Wave Race: Blue Storm when you buy a Indigo GameCube for $99.44. There is also a bundle of indigo gamecube, Madden 2004 and a memory card 251 for 189.06, but for me it is overpriced.

I think Mario Party 4 will drop in price more since Mario Party 5 is coming out on Nov. 12.

Just picked up the old Zelda Bonus Disc at Best buy for $0.01 :D

They shouldn't have had any left. They put it on a table with a bunch of "showy stuff" like the new GBA e-Reader bundle and the Rogue Squadron 3 bonus disc + RS3. It was the last one in Fayetteville, GA.

It's certainly not ripping of the guys who preorder Wind Waker by this point. Damn those of you who did that before!!!

Don't hate me for getting my 2nd disc! I snagged it because:
My worst fears were confirmed. NO ONE can ever touch my brother's and my discs because no one I know fully understands that any visible scratch covers MANY microscopic details and an identical scratch on a DVD is about 6 times worse. No one can borrow them, no one can even change games on my 'cube.

My 'cube is temporarily broken, so we borrowed a friend's who played through Metroid Prime and never used it again. When he and another friend got it back to use in my other friend's new in-truck wide-screen, they asked "Where are the games?" and, just because we didn't have a working 'cube at the time. my brother didn't even think twice before tossing them the whole case. Borrowing them is off limits! When I found out a few hours later, I chewed him out over it. I knew what the future held: Discs set all over the place, in the wrong containers, wiped with paper napkins or clothing, etc etc.

Turns out, a third friend was handed the Zelda Bonus Disc and told to put it back in the case and he set it on the console instead. It ended up in the floorboard of the truck, crushed and stomped on with permanent deep black marks on the data side. As soon as I saw him that morning he said "it wasn't my fault." I couldn't have possibly gotten it back sooner, yet in that short time they had already nearly destroyed the only disc I owned which couldn't be bought in stores! "It was him" is no excuse because that kind of thing is EXACTLY what I expected! What other people do with my property is my primary concern. My discs must be policed at all times or else you are not taking better care of it than the owner!

Let this be a warning: Keep your irreplaceable discs in their individual container and out of a bulk game case! I learned my lesson and it only cost me a penny, but you may not be so lucky. :D
