Hi, new to this forum, but been following a similar thread at PlanetGamecube and skimmed through this one.
You know how the international money market works, trading one currency for another for a profit? I've been kinda doing that: buying cheap games in bulk and trading them in for store credit. Last month I must've gotten like $100 of extra stuff from less than $100 investment. I bought 4 of 7 of my Best Buy's Beach Spikers, and the other 3 were also bought that night by a friend and an EB employee. And between my other friend and me, we cleared out our two local EB's 9-game stock of $5 Hunters. I bought dupes, but kept one of each for myself since they were great deals.
$10 Beach Spikers BB--> $12 EB credit --> or I hear $30 Rhino's credit
$5 (or now that the coupon's gone, $10) Hunter EB--> $12 Rhino's credit
$15 Bloodrayne EB --> $30 RHino's credit
Rhino also has a deal where you can trade in two games and get one free, but walking in with two Hunter's didn't play out. Store credit wasn't too bad an alternative. When doing the Beach Spikers trade-in, my "EB Games" stand-alone store wouldn't take multiples, but they said the mall "Electronics Boutique" would.
Well, that was like two weeks ago. Yesterday when I went in to Best Buy to pick up another copy of Beach Spikers to complement my additional copy of Hunter for the Rhino's 2 for 1 deal, the price sign said $30. D'oh. Maybe they caught on... Can anyone verify this price increase?
And while I'm on the subject of prices oddly increasing, preowned XG3 at EB went up from $13 to $15. Might as well buy the new one now.
