FWIW I didn't really post it to mean "AHA! Liberals SUX!!!!"

It was like when GWB choked on the pretzel. It was a little humorous because you have someone notorious for being a buffoon living up to the title spectacularly.

Biden - the fail that keeps on failing.

Edit:
Now some bloggers and other liberals will probably tear this storeowner's life apart.

We'll start hearing about how Scott the Manager didn't pay all of his taxes.

This isn't any kind of earth shaking event. I give it a 10/10 on the "So Freaking What" scale.

In more important news, I didn't get a haircut, today. :p

Why is this a big deal again?

The VP of the USA shouldn't be talking to citizens that way. It implies that he has elevated himself above the rest of us and thinks that he is the boss of us rather than the other way around. Elected officials should be kissing our butts, not making snide comments to us.

To the contrary, he's using the common language regular people use among themselves, which happens to be Biden's legitimate roots.

And in other earth shaking news, I didn't burn my dinner, last night, but I did park my car in the garage. ():)

Biden is nothing but an overgrown fratboy.

I'm sure you thought Dan Quayle was just misunderstood, as well - right, ol' Harv?

Exactly who overreacted? I thought the shopkeeper was joking around and it appeared that Joe didn't appreciate it.

Anyway...if anyone overreacted it was Fox by airing it in the first place and making something out of nothing.

did you just fuckin bash fox news? sorry i had to reread that line a couple times to make sure i wasn't makin shit up...

Biden's a bright guy who speaks in vernacular. I also appreciated Obama saying straight out that he needed to know whose ass (at BP) he should be kicking.

Quayle wasn't misunderstood. He was an inarticulate moron who never met a word he couldn't misspell or a thought he couldn't mangle. A few examples make the point:

Verbosity leads to unclear, inarticulate things.

I believe we are on an irreversible trend toward more freedom and democracy - but that could change.

One word sums up probably the responsibility of any vice president, and that one word is 'to be prepared'.

The Holocaust was an obscene period in our nation's history. I mean in this century's history. But we all lived in this century. I didn't live in this century.

We are ready for any unforeseen event that may or may not occur.

I stand by all the misstatements that I've made.

Wow. "Vernacular".

Since you have your list, are these "vernacular":?

"Look, John's last-minute economic plan does nothing to tackle the number-one job facing the middle class, and it happens to be, as Barack says, a three-letter word: jobs. J-O-B-S, jobs."

"You cannot go to a 7-11 or a Dunkin' Donuts unless you have a slight Indian accent.... I'm not joking."

"I mean, you got the first mainstream African-American who is articulate and bright and clean and a nice-looking guy."

"This is a big fucking deal."

“Uh, uh, Chuck Graham, [qheelchair-bound] state senator, is here. Stand up, Chuck, let ‘em see you. Oh, God love you. What am I talking about?”

"I would tell members of my family - and I have - I wouldn't go anywhere in confined places now. It's not just going to Mexico, if you're in a confined aircraft and one person sneezes it goes all the way through the aircraft. That's me. I would not be at this point, if they had another way of transportation, suggesting they ride the subway. If you're out in the middle of a field and someone sneezes, that's one thing. If you're in a closed aircraft or a closed container, a closed car, a closed classroom, it's a different thing." (re: H1N1, after Obama publicly stated travel was safe)

Was it "vernacular" when he "borrowed" Neil Kinnock's speech in '88 for the campaign trail?

Inarticulate moron, indeed.

Excuse you, but what's your freaking point?

The worst fallout from Biden calling someone a smartass is all the stink the rightwingnut jackasses think they can make over absolutely nothing.

You are the perfect example. You brought up Qayle, who was, and remains, an inarticulate boob, and who's inarticulate boobatude has nothing to do with the nothing inherent in Biden's choice of words.

All you've accomplished is to paint yourself closer to Quayle than Biden in intellect. Congratulations on your epic failure. :hmm:

Wow. You can't defend Biden, so you attack me instead. Expected, but still pathetic. What a lack of integrity you have.

Biden's a "boob" (in your "vernacular"), even if you can't get it through your thick partisan skull.

This thread marks the official beginning of the summer doldrums for political events aka the silly season.

What with the oil spill, the McCrystal thing, the Israeli blockade incident, and the Kagan confirmation hearings, you'd think there's better material out there, even during these summer doldrums.

Wow. You can't defend Biden, so you attack me instead.

I'll reluctantly presume your reading skills are better than Quayle's and ask you to read what I've posted in this thread. I don't have to "defend'' Biden. AFIC, he's done nothing that requires any defense.

I replied directly to your post bringing up Quayle, which was irrelevant to the topic. Because Quayle is known to be an inarticulate assclown, it was an open invitation to quote him. That was my point.

I didn't bring Quayle into the discussion. You did that, and you get to live with it. If you can't take the heat for your own dumb posts, you can always think a little longer before posting.

Expected, but still pathetic. What a lack of integrity you have.

I'll keep that in mind... along with the significance of everything else you post for... oh... another 30 nanoseconds.

OK. I've forgotten what you said. :D

Biden's a "boob" (in your "vernacular"), even if you can't get it through your thick partisan skull.

You must be mistaking me for someone who gives damn what you think. :hmm:

Sad, Harvey. You don't recognize your hypocrisy, but I guess that's a common thing for hypocrites. I like the repetitious insults - shows what a wee man you are.

Keep raving over your boy Biden and his "vernacular", though. I guess it matters in this domain you seem to lord over. Maybe you could write a song about him. Does anybody know anything that rhymes with "vernacular"?

The guy is a smart ass. You have the VP in your business and you make a comment trying to show him up. Another Joe the Plumber loser. I couldn't stand Dick Cheney, but if he had came to my place of work I would have been respectable. There is a time and place for everything and this was uncalled for on the shopowner's part.

At least when Biden speaks he speaks his mind so we know his exact thought unlike the dumbass Bush who can't form a coherent three-syllable word or Obama and his "yes we can".

Among the three, I would pick Biden every time. :\
