1280 x 960 is standard 4:3 like all the other common resolutions.

ahh, but you see, i have a 17 inch lcd monitor and its native resolution is 1280 by 1024, since it is more square the 4:3. its actually 5:4, the standard for 17 inch lcds. but why can't the game go any higher? it looks crappy at 1280x960 and you would think with my 6800gt it could run it! is there any way to mod files to get it like that?

There was in BF:V, but nobody seems to be able to get it to work in BF:2

Your link is the one people see first so you're probably getting raped. I think your server is capped at 10 Mbps anyway, so it can't be too bad.

I hope so, my bandwidth can handle 10 Mbps for a day, but not 35 Mbps.

It's fun!

I spent the last 3 hours just trying to figure out how to fly the damn helicopter and jets thoughs :|

I find that by disabling the mouse roll, it's a hell of a lot easier, but if you use the rear rotor to turn (read a\d), you're craft becomes lopsided and starts flying sideways into mountains and buildings.

It's fun as hell though! :thumbsup:

Parachutes at the best part of the game!

Flying is so difficult. If anyone masters it, they will dominate the game.

Still am not sure what UAV is and what the flashing yellow icon is with the picture of the plane. And how do you destroy enemy artillery? I shot them 4x with anti-tank missles.

Flying seems easier than in 42, DC, or BF:V to me. Of course, I have a joystick.

 

The Good:

1) Lot of fun, refined BF1942 gameplay
2) Nice graphics


The Bad:

1) Optimizing shaders.......................
2) Gamespy browser sucks
3) Too much loading and bugs

Will keep my pre-order. Should be great after a patch or 10.

I hate how you can't really scroll through the servers by dragging the slider and are forced to use the arrows.

Not that it matters because as of this morning the game just hard locks on me when I click to refresh the servers...unlike last night.

I have the latest drivers for my iXPS2 (official drivers), and it still keeps telling me i need to update the drivers.

And no native widescreen support on such a big title? Supposedly you can enable it through the .con, but that only causes me to crash.
