You sure you aren't using any refresh rate progs such as ReForce?

I had no luck running the game with ReForce - even set "allow all refresh rates" in the video.con file and changed the refresh rate in the profile.

played on a 6800gt and it works fine. nice graphics, no crashes, although it won't make my multiplayer account at all. also, why doens't it go to 1280x1024? it only goes to 1280x960...

ahh, but you see, i have a 17 inch lcd monitor and its native resolution is 1280 by 1024, since it is more square the 4:3. its actually 5:4, the standard for 17 inch lcds. but why can't the game go any higher? it looks crappy at 1280x960 and you would think with my 6800gt it could run it! is there any way to mod files to get it like that?

 

Im a little disappointed in the game, it lost alot of fun factor that BF1942 had when it first came out. Its like desert combat with better graphics now, kind of.

Your link is the one people see first so you're probably getting raped. I think your server is capped at 10 Mbps anyway, so it can't be too bad.
