I don't know - I don't even know where the nearest whole food might be. I'm fairly partial to New York Strip steaks.Up there with - "Milk, it does a body good!", "Got milk?", and "the incredible edible egg!"
I eat beef critter, but I like to supplement it for various reasons. I'd miss beyond products. Hopefully someone else will buy them when the time comes.
I don't have a whole foods near me, do they have their own label?
Using the time tested adage: Rules are for thee, not for me.
Burger king is made by Impossible. It's the only thing I can eat from Burger King. I've also bought either Beyond or Impossible meat patties from Krogers and the one that gets a crispy crust when frying is my favorite. I don't buy them unless they are on sale though.Disclaimer: My only experience with Beyond meat products is limited to Burger King's Whopper and while it wasn't terrible aside from a slightly odd texture I could barely tell the difference.
Frankly the rare times I eat beef I want actual beef not beef-like plant paste. 😉
Yeah, red meat is particularly resource intensive - much more than most people realize. Plant based meats were a nice substitute and a way to make traditional meat dishes vegetarian. My goals with fake meat have more to due with ecology and animal welfare. I eat meat, but I think it's much less than the typical non vegetarian American. If everybody tried a little, it would equal a lot.
Looks like meat's back on the menu, Boys!
Who wouldn't want one of those? How about the Japanese shit burger?
Remember that?

Meat Made From Human Feces: Hoax or Japan's Best New Invention?
VideoThat got your attention, huh? Fortuitously, it’s unlikely these appealing options will end up on our menus anytime soon. Unlikely, but not entirely out of the question. Let me explain. Recently, a stomach-churning story about meat synthesized from sewage was picked up by several major news...www.forbes.com
At $22 / lb, Id have a reason to cut back. Right now, NY Strip is about $16 / lb and I eat less than I want to.-Yeah 'cept it's literally getting more expensive by the day.
I'm in a high COL area in California so stuff was always going to be expensive, but my Chicken has gone from $8.25 to $9.99 a pound within the last month or two and beef... Holy fuck we're looking at $22 a pound for basic shit like NY Strip and such.
Funny enough the one thing that gets me to work more fiber and veggies into my diet is pricey meat. I typically do 1.5lbs of meat for a family of 4, with a lot of legumes/cruciferous veggies/etc.
Probably not, because Impossible and Beyond Meat spent considerable R&D to create their specific products.Up there with - "Milk, it does a body good!", "Got milk?", and "the incredible edible egg!"

But the squirrel claimed faux meat is worse for the environment than cattle. 🤣Yeah, red meat is particularly resource intensive - much more than most people realize. Plant based meats were a nice substitute and a way to make traditional meat dishes vegetarian.
I can't afford to live in the Bay Area, but you're seemingly buying the most expensive meat from a high-end grocer?-Yeah 'cept it's literally getting more expensive by the day.
