Better ink then Megatoners IMO even Epson's ink.

Epson uses all pigment inks for the colors and black in their recent printers (since when they began advertizing long-life prints) so, according to Azo, all the Swift inks will be pigment-based.

Hello Zepper,

Exactly. If Epson or Canon use pigment in a particular cartridge, we will always use pigment. However, if a particular OEM cartridge is dye, ours will be too. We always match the OEM-specifications.

Hope that clears things up.

Azo313, hows your quality for cx5200 carsts? I tried megatoners right now and its horrible. its like there is ink in the cartridge, but it only comes out when i'm trying to print photos...whichis never often. the text is absoteluyl unreadable so i'm thinking about you guys. Will you guys do more than the "customer service" that megatoner's provides?

Hello magomago,

The CX5200 cart's come off the same exact quality assembly-line as the rest of the Epson/Canon compatibles. I guarantee you would be extremely happy with the quality. As for customer service, try me. :) I can only say that you will receive a fully detailed response to every message you send me, usually within minutes, or hours at most. If you have any problems, I promise I will do my best to take care of them.

It doesn't seem like you guys carry ink for the Epson Stylus Color 880 or Canon MP390.

Hello,

I have listed those for you. Same type as the rest of the Canon/Epson compatibles. Enjoy :)

I just ordered some ink. Hopefully, the quality will be as good as what I've read. I ordered ink from megatoners two months ago. The ink was empty when I installed it. Tsk!

I believe the epson r200 oem cartridges are dye based...not pigment based. Do you guys know if Swiftink provides dye or pigment based generic inks for r200? And also, is pigment always better than dye? If so, i don't understand why epson's line of photo printers don't use pigment inks instead, and they're regular printers like the c86 does.

Hello, I did reply. Here is a copy-and-paste of my reply from the other thread:

"While G&G uses dye-based ink in some of their cartridges, we use pigment-based ink in ALL of our compatibles. Dye ink is much cheaper ink and will fade much faster. Also, all of our components are 100% U.S. made instead of made in China."

funboy42, I am not very surprised that you believe my ink prints better than the Epson genuine's. I have received this comment from more than one person :)

Hello,

The first response funboy copied is more accurate. The second response where I state pigment in ALL cartridges isn't very clear... it should say "ALL cartridges where OEM's use pigment." Hope that makes sense.

I haven't tested the ink, yet. But for shipping.. WOW! Swift Ink is fast. I ordered on Saturday (Feb. 12) and got my package today (Feb. 14). I'll let you know when I test the ink in a few days.

I finally replaced my old black cartridge with Swift Ink's. I have an S600 printer. When I installed the new cartridge, my status monitor is only showing that my new ink cartridge is only half full. What gives?

Dear Qacer,

Normally when you switch cartridges, the printer automatically adjusts the ink settings. However, sometimes this isn't the case. It isn't actually a problem with the cartridge. You simply needs to go into your printer settings and click on the tab for ink management. There should be a way to manually reset the ink detection so that it displays the true ink quantity.

I've always wanted to try this ink system for my R200:

http://www.inkrepublic.com/

It's like $275.95 for a kit with ink tho :( They do offer pigment ("dura") and dye inks, however, and the refills seem pretty cheap (50mL pigment for $14.39 and 100mL dye for $13.95).

Update (good news):

For those who purchased the Brother ink. Although it's not the same high-quality as the US ink I carry, it's going to change very soon. In a matter of days, the LC31's will be USA ink, and in about two weeks, the LC41's will be USA ink.

Stay tuned.

Keep the thread updated. I'll need to replace my S530D ink very soon and Monster inc is half the price of SwiftInk.

Hello Swift Ink,

I did that. I even took off the cartridge and put it back on. I got the ink management utility from my Canon S600 to detect it a few times, and it is still showing as half-empty. I will try to figure it out again tonight.

This is actually the first time that I've experienced this problem.

Thanks!

Alright, I just turned on my computer and restarted my printer status monitor. The ink level is now displaying correctly. As far as the quality is concerned, it looks pretty good. I've only ordered the black ink, but I will be ordering some color inks eventually. Thanks Swift Ink! :)

Excellent Qacer,

Glad to hear that you got it working properly. Even more glad to hear that you are happy with the quality of the ink.

Take care!
