I think Mike knows Tuco is a serious bad guy and making him go away would benefit him financially and the world without Tuco would be a better place. But, Mike is very smart and knows the Cartel would come down hard on Nacho and Nacho would lead them to Mike.

Again, he's a smart guy....

Still, it seems like a half measure to me. He knew that Tuco would get out someday, and that he'll be gunning for Mike when he does. If we learned anything from Breaking Bad, Mike doesn't DO half measures anymore.

5-7 was estimated. Regarding Tuco gunning for Mike... Nothing suggests he thinks Mike was anything more than a doddering old man, and getting arrested was just unlucky.

I think it was more confirming that Mike had some lines that he wouldn't cross. While he clearly had no problems with killing people that threatened him in the line of business he wasn't a cold-blooded assassin for hire.

Time lines don't overlap at all, not even close at this point. When Walt gets introduced to Saul he was already Saul and had been for quite a while. Jesse knew him as slickster who was the guy to use for drug busts and Walt Jr knew him from his TV ads. No chance that Walt was in the meth business while Saul was still Jimmy. Breaking Bad moved really quickly, it went from Walt getting the cancer diagnosis to them killing Tuco in like 2 or 2 1/2 months.

Overall I liked last night's episode. I did have a problem with solution Saul proposed to Kim. I don't know how long Saul has been practicing but virtually any lawyer with any real world experience would know that was a stupid idea.

The best scenes where with Chuck at the office and with Kim. That story really humanized him and help transform him from something of a cardboard cutout to more of a real person. It also helped you understand the conflict with Jimmy a lot better.

Some of the dramatic pauses were over done but . . . meh.

The scene with Mike in the diner was also noteworthy.

That's how I describe just about every episode, lol. I like the overall storyline now, but I never watch the episodes as they air... there are just too many parts I would rather speed through.

yeah last night's episode definitely felt kinda slow/boring to me. i also simply can't stand any screen time chuck has and wish his character was not in the show. everything about him bores me to death. and last nights episode had a lot of chuck.

I didn't mind the flashback when he wasn't a weirdo about electricity, so I am guessing they will show why he became so freaked out. I assume it will have something to do with his wife, maybe a fire or something started by a short.

Chuck adds a lot to the story, without him, there's no motivation for Jimmy and as we saw last night Jimmy seems to motivate Chuck as well.

Mike is at a turning point as well. His meeting in the diner can be his "going down the rabbit hole" of the mexican cartel, or prove to be a big issue between him and Nacho.

I'm fine with a slower story, it lets the writers stretch their legs and offer up something that other shows aren't providing.

but later on we found out exactly why he has such disdain for his brother when he was talking to kim, and it had to do with his dad.

the dinner scene was way too long too. i thought it was never going to end.

chuck overall is just boring as shit and i really dislike his character. even the way he talks is irritating.

I agree with you 100%, I also thought that was the longest flashback ever.

This is getting really annoying. If Kim doesn't sue them for extortion she should sue them for causing irreparable damage through eye strain. HHM and Davis & Main do this. Is it just industry standard in Vince Gilligan's universe?!

I agree with the very slow and boring comments. It's like they don't have enough material to make a full 10 episode season so they shove in extra character "building" parts. I'll stand by hoping it doesn't last more than 1 more year or so depending on where they take the story.

I still think Kim is pretty hot myself, so I'll keep watching.

The show is still better than most things out there, IMHO.

I'm still going to watch but I just caught up to last night's episode. All the chuck parts are very boring. I also don't like how they milk all this stuff and then five minutes before the end they make it interesting.

Hopefully the next episode will have more action. By action I mean more story substance, not just character scenes.
