Alright you Primitive Screwheads, listen up! You see this? This... is my boomstick! The twelve-gauge double-barreled Remington. S-Mart's top of the line. You can find this in the sporting goods department. That's right, this sweet baby was made in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Retails for about a hundred and nine, ninety five. It's got a walnut stock, cobalt blue steel, and a hair trigger. That's right. Shop smart. Shop S-Mart. You got that?

SCAR-H seems to be the best "one gun" candidate in my view. It can fire .308 Winchester so ammo's no problem. It's got range, power, accuracy, ammo capacity, and it's not too heavy.
I wouldn't want to go up against hunting-rifle equipped bandits with a shotgun.

An M4 might leave you wishing for more. Unlikely to be the case with the SCAR-H.

A reliable gun like a revolver would be best, however since ammo is limited, I'd go with a big mace.

If you've got a Mk 19, you don't have to run.

Hell yes you would. You can only carry so much ammo since the ammo is huge, plus it's impossible to kill every zombie out there since everywhere you go there's going to be tons of them.

For zombie apocalypse you need something that's reliable with easy access to tons of ammo and is easy to transport.

The AK-47 is probably going to be your best survival firearm. Its light and ammo has more penetration the that whimpy 223/5.56mm.

After the AK-47, I would go with the DS Arms SA58 FN/FAL in 308 winchester

A PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT FROM THE ZOMBIE/ALIEN CIVIL DEFENSE NETWORK:

The best weapon for survival is using your brain when the going gets tough. :ninja:

Which is why the zombies are so darned brain hungry. Brains are something that most of us don't have enough of to use and survive, if watching zombie apocalypse movies is any indication. :hmm:

But if you want good, long term reusable weapons, simple bows and arrows, or spears would be the best possible weapons. Spears are better than close combat hand held weapons any day. :colbert:

Just ask your ancestors after you die what they preferred while they hunted down dinosaurs and bigfoot. ():)

Just tie off kitchen knifes to a long, sturdy pole, and your good to go. Plus, you don't get deadly zombie juice all over you, like you would in hand to hand sword/knife/axe/club/rock combat.

NOTICE! Firearms are of course great, but should be used sparingly, and only when a zombie horde is attacking you, not for individual kills. The ammo is just too precious to waste.
:p
