I can't make up my mind so I'd have to go with the Zelda and Final Fantasy series. Out of that I"d say Zelda: link to past on snes and ocaraina of time. and FF 5,6,7, and erm crono trigger/cross.

Quake II and III. Screw Halo and Battlefield and all those other generic war games; these two had class.
Quake II was a great game. I played it for a solid year. Quake III was nothing but added eye candy.
Battlefield 1942 is NOT a generic war game. It was revolutionary in the way it took the standard FPS genre and added so much more with the ability to operate so many different kinds of vehicles in so many ways. The amazing thing is that they were able to balance the game so no one vehicle or class has a distinct advantage over all the others. There is so much variety in BF that it has kept thousands of people intensely occupied for almost 2 years now.

Spend 5 minutes running halfway across the map.
Try to spot the enemy.
Get run over by some sod in a tank.
Get in a tank.
Spend 5 minutes driving halfway across the map.
Get blown up by some sod in a plane.
NEXT
Quake III is so polished and so perfect that nothing will ever surpass it in my book. This is best game ever, not most revolutionary
I find that rocketing some guy in mid-air with a complete fluke shot is far more satisfying than shooting a tank with another tank. Those games are just too slow and repetitive for me.
