I have to admit it is a real frenzy here, everyone wants to play the old games even with a lot of new ones on the plate. Still cant get around to playing this god damn AC4 because everyone is playing the games from the thread.

This morning i had to watch an hour of RollerCoaster Tycoon haha. People are getting so nostalgic, every other moment is : "Remember when we played this and that".

Since we're including games released in 2000 as well, I'll add Need for Speed - Porsche Unleashed. I've never really gotten into the other NFS games. The physics (not too realistic IMO) and the graphics are great.

OMG, really this game is also one of the best i used to play it for days and nights, buying and selling cars and making millions :D, nice game, MalazanEmpire if you haven`t played this game than you should definitely try it. For those times the graphics are amazing.

Just a word of advice (which applies to most games mentioned in this thread): do some investigation to ensure that they will actually work on your machine before paying for them. I know NFS - PU has some issues with Win 7. I'm not sure if they can be worked around (it's been a couple of years since I last played it). It looks like there might be some patch but with some of these games (like Star Wars Rogue Squadron), getting the game to work on a newer OS can get really messy.

Yes, you are right about that, i totally forgot to mention that, last time when i tried to install it on my win 7, the game started and stacked after the introduction movie. But as i remember i downloaded some file or dll. and the game started.

Already mentioned, worth mentioning again...
Transport Tycoon Deluxe (though you are better off playing OpenTTD or Simutrans)

This game gets passed over so much, but when I had a netbook back in the day it was perfect. They are still working on this game to this day (via OpenTTD) and the multiplayer base is fierce. Even if you want to do single player the GRFs allow for an easily customizeable game. I love so many retro games, but IMO this is one of the most timeless titles ever, and the modding community is testament to that.
