wikipedia is silly.

double tap just refers to 2 shots. you then use further description to refer to where they went. ie, double tap to the head, double tap to the heart.. etc.

but since the op refers to a pillow being used to silence, i would guess both shots are going into the head.

without having real world experience on the matter, i would guess that the silencing effects of pillows are rather overstated in movies.
 
Receipts can be traced, and stores have security cameras.

Use whatever pillows your appointment has on hand. Double up, if necessary.

Purpose of the double tap is for the first aimed shot to go to the center of mass. The second shot, due to recoil, will be aimed slightly higher, closer to the head area.
