Remember... if you run, you'll only die tired.

That's about the dumbest thing you could do. Punch someone hard enough in the nose with your palm and you'll be going to jail because that guy will be seriously fvcked up, if not dead.

All of you claiming you would perform a particular move have obviously never been in a fight. The last thing on your mind during a scuffle is where you can land your punches, that comes with loads of experience and a certain mindset.

Most of the time you're either reigning blows or covering up your soft, fleshy bits. Your body takes over and your do what you can.

The last bar fight I was in ended after the first punch. The guy threatening me got in my face. He had several inches on me and probably thought I would back down. He asked me if I had a problem so I decked him in the face as hard as I could. He fell over and everyone just walked away. He didn't expect it, my friends didn't expect me to hit him, and his friends didn't expect it.

Personally, I think acting first, unexpectantly is the most successful way to win a fight, unless your opponent is significantly bigger or better.

Of course, when it comes to explaining how it went down to the cops, you can't use the self-defense excuse.

DUDE.

It is about the SPIRIT BOMB :p

Dude ther eis no 'best' move. It depends on the situation, space and scenario.

You either lamp the guy or do nothing or run away.

If you have not been in a fight you are more then likely to be decked so do not fight. If you fight some what the chances are higher.

I dunno, I'm usually pretty good about talking people down. Why get into a fight if you can avoid it? If the "hey man, sorry about (whatever)...didn't mean anything by it" doesn't work, one lightening-fast kick and full-out sprint would probably get me out of trouble, unless he had a gun (in which case it's stupid to fight). I'm a pretty fast sprinter, but I'm a small guy so I'm not sure how many punches I could take. Best not to find out ;)

I have many awesome moves to use in a fight, and if you don't believe me then just ask my friend Mark, he's almost done with puberty, which is bragable. Among my favorites are:

6. Friggin' book
5. Standing flipping front kick to the nuts....then friggin' book
4. Turn invisible and sprinkles my dark pubes on his white shirt to TOTALLY embarrass him
3. Scratch his face in half with my big toenail
2.5. Shove a frozen carrot in his O-ring
2. Morph into a giant black boner and slap him in the face
1b. Throw spicy chili in his eyes
1b 1/2. up, up, down, down, left, right, left, right, B, A, select, start
1a. All of the above...AND NOT EVEN THINK TWICE ABOUT IT!!!!

I usually carry a switch blade with the screw loose enough so that I can flick it open. If I ever get into trouble, I hope the sight of a 6'4" guy with a switch blade would be enough to cause most poeple to just walk away. If not, a kick to the nuts.

Ive never been in a fight other than sparring with other people but if i did i would probably punch them in the throat and walk away. If I get wrestled down to the ground then ill more than likely win as I know almost every hand to hand combat move without even thinking and have taken down guys weighing 70 more pounds than me doing this. Id also win in a fast fight because I boxed for quite a while and am really fast and have good reflexes in that sense. Ill probably never have to get into a real fight though so im not too worried.

If you got the first move and thus can think about it. Hook punch to the jaw fight over. straight punch just below the nose. I've seen someone who got a powerful punch there lost 8 teeth had 2 black eyes and of course a broken nose. Upset punch to the solar plexes fight over and you didn't even permenantly hurt him. Swift kick to the knee fight over. It's not as easy as people think to break someones knee if you hit it straight on and it's bent your not going to break it. Trying to catch a punch is just stupid unless your around about as good as bruce lee then why not? Swift punch to the throat works wonders too, and it's not the killing move most people take it to be.

If you don't have time to throw a clean first move then it's all about going with instinct. Average fight lasts 7 seconds before it goes to ground fighting. So you better hope your used to it.

I got into an argument with a friend of mine in like 7th grade. We were both taking tae-kwon-do at the time, but he was much better. Anyway, we were just arguing, and I guess I must have said something that really pissed him off because next thing I know BAM! Right in my solar plex. I couldn't breathe, I ran into my room and collapsed. That ended the argument REAL fast.

Of course, he was apologizing to me the whole next day...lol...

But yeah, correctly placed sucker-punch can end a fight before it starts.

Depends, if it's at a bar or something, I would just shove them hard enough to knock them down, and kindly ask them to chill out. If it was more intense then I don't think any "one" move will be very effective. I am big, and not the fastest, so I would try to keep it close and deliver a constant pummelling from my fists. Perhaps a head-butt too ... I guess it depends on if I am drunk. When I am drunk, head butting is my primary mode of fighting. Othewise, I prefer to use my fists.

Also, Fighting is stupid.

The only way to guarantee avoiding injury is to not be in the fight at all. If the fight cannot be avoided the best way to avoid injury is respond correctly to the situation. This requires years of training and education. There is no such thing as a 'good move', it doesn't exist.

I have been in over 500 actual melee fights, both hand to hand and with weapons; not competition fights or staged or playtime. Every one was different, requiring entirely different tactics. My personal philosphy is comprised of a few different major components:

1. Fighting must ALWAYS be the last resort. ALWAYS.
2. Soul > Mind > Body
3. Before you perform a single action in an encounter, you should have complete understanding of how the engagement will progress.
4. There should never be a reason to need more than one attack, or series of attacks with purpose.
5. Once a fight is engaged, it is for your life, and the only way to guarantee your safety is to win, no matter what that takes.
6. The point of taking an action in combat is to end the confrontation. If your action does not directly contribute to that goal, it is not a good action to take.

Does this work? Well, the last time I was struck in combat (beyond taking a blow on the arm purposefully or something similar), was when I was 14. I'm 32 now. 80-90% of my fights have been between 14 and 32.
