Best GeForce 560 Ti 448 cores board

Looking at a budget of $300 tops, what do you think is the best model of GeForce 560 Ti 448 cores?

1. Around $200-300
2. Would like low temperature without a lot of cooling
3. Probably not going to OC it
4. Probably not going to SLI it
5. Going to keep it for probably 2-3 years

I narrowed it down to 2 or 3 EVGA boards (classified, classified ultra, FTW) or the MSI Twin Frozr II (GeForce). MSI seems to run hot though and i've seen a lot of complaints that the fans die soon.

Actually they have to be GF100. It would be false advertising to have a different gpu under there. But the later wafers were proven much better than release chips. Hardware heaven (review) and members here have bought these gpu's. They run like the newer GF110 chips but will be GF100.
I believe CapeCod and Bryan both got in on one of these and a few others.
 
Performance loss is probably pretty minimal between the two cards, actually. The 480 is better price/performance.
 
there have been MUCH better deals on gtx560 ti 448sp models. in the last week or so I have see when for under 200 bucks and one for 210. of course that does not help much if you need to buy at this very moment.

Thats a pretty sweet deal then. I had release 480's and they pumped out so much heat

That article was written on march 5th and it is now April 22nd. I have no crashes, issues, whatsoever with my card. If i did i'd be the first one ranting about it on this forum.

7850 vs 570. Notice how the 7850 is clocked at 860 core and mine is overclocked on stock voltage to 1125 core. Lets not also forget about the 2GB of Vram on the 7850.

Alright Mr. TaleSpin, I will consider the 7850 given your sterling reputation on this board 🙂

The comparisons were startlingly in favor of the ATI board:

It'd be a little more accurate to compare 7850 to a GTX 570 in Anands bench if you're looking for a comparison to 560Ti 448 numbers.

A stock 7850 is on average slightly faster than 560ti in performance, and an overclocked 7850 is similar to 560ti448/570, in most games.

Best ones are the 580 GTX boards like 448 evga classified ultra and such with 8 phase power not the GTX 570 SE boards most are on.

Just look for the 'long' boards.
 
Yeah like 9/10 games it's faster though. But I agree w/ your 7850 rec if overlcoking. uses half power plus there is no good deals on 448's right now. I've seen them as low as $198 and $219 for classified ultra but they hover around $270 now. More than 7850.

Nvidia is selling cut down GF114 chips as gtx 460 these days. So they really don't seem to care about slapping a different chip in and using the same naming scheme. But if they really were putting GF110 chips in there other board partners would probably be selling these "new" gtx 480s not just evga.
