They have one around Divisadero and Fell in SF since 1994 or a little earlier than that. Then they opened another one 2 years ago between CCSF and Cow Palace. There are 4 in SF now.

Popeye's. Now I know what I want for dinner - thanks for the great suggestion. Fried chicken and biscuits here I come.

Metro Detroit, MI. The absolute BEST hands down chicken... only thing (if you wanna get technical) it is broasted... but I still consider it fried.

I will promise this... if anyone from ATOT is in the Detroit area from out of town, drop me a line and I will take you for the best chicken and potatoes you will ever taste.

I voted KFC, but that's only because it's been so long since I've been to Popeye's. You guys are making me think I need to go out for lunch tomorrow.

Popeye's for the chicken, KFC for the biscuit.

Hey Popeye voters...how many of you have been to a Bojangles?

It's typical to vote for places you've eaten at when other choices on the poll are not available in your region. It's like asking southern people to vote for best fast food burger when In-N-Out is a west coast franchise and only whataburger is available in their region.

Out of the franchises, probably Popeye's, but I try to stay away from such places out of respect for my body. Bojangles is pretty good from what I remember, but it's been a while. KFC and Church's just suck, imo.

The best places I've found were usually local only.

I hit up Popeyes whenever I travel (none near us in California.) Love the dirty rice too!

I've heard amazing things from a friend in DC about Cluck U, I would probably eat there often just for the name alone. She said the biscuits taste like they're deep fried! :D

even if it's just decent Fried Chicken > any type of Marinated/roasted/broasted chicken 10/10 times.

Only been to Popeye's and KFC from that list, and I didn't like Popeye's. You might want to add Hardees to that list, though.

Yes... Fried Chicken choices in Connecticut are a bit lacking.

Sure. I was just asking a question.

See, I've been to both, and I don't see how anyone who has could vote for Popeye's. Maybe it was the particular restaurant I visited.

I say Popeyes, but I don't have them enough: pretty expensive. They have really good texture, and crunchiness, but the taste is a bit bland compared ti KFC. Also, Popeye's overfries/over-flours them. I usually eat KFC for 3 meals if I have left overs, and they taste even better after microwaving. So why the hell did I vote Popeyes...

Yeah, goin with KFC for just fried. El Pollo is incredibly cheap. If anything, Charro is the overpriced one.

incredibly cheap? you get like 2 small ass pieces of chicken, 2 little sides and a few tortillas and it's like 7 bucks out here. I can eat 2 of their meals without much problem. El Pollo is one of the most expensive "fast food" places I've ever eaten at.

Mrs. Winner's Chicken & Biscuits is pretty good. My wife and I get their family meal sometimes. It feeds us for a couple days.

I keep hearing Popeyes is good but the two times I've tried it, it's actually been quite bad. I've always liked KFC though. Anyone else around here will probably say Popeyes as well.
