we got a popeyes a month or so ago...pretty good. better than KFC. The only other choice here is Church's which I prefer to KFC, but the locations are bad.

they have a couple locations. Both of them in the ghetto. I think high crime and the consequent thick, bulletproof Plexiglas probably turns the entire kitchen into a hotbox for flavor and natural juices.

love the spicy tenders there but usually the biscuits are a bit stale. probably just the one i go to tho. i voted for popeyes, but chesters is awesome in a can as well. and they serve it with a biscuit and tater wedges slathered in the same spiced breading the chicken is drowned in.

did you guys get the Church's Chicken at Harvey's a few years back?

we did here in London, Ontario. That was awesome chicken. Huge pieces without all the salt of KFC.

Popeyes wasnt really in CA until the recent few years or at least in CA near where I live. I remember as a kid I would fly to the east coast to visit my uncle and I found a bunch of them in the south.

Church's for the fried okra!

Church's brines the living hell out of their chicken so its always jucy moist but Popeyes spicy crust on their chicken is the best!
