Drysol is the most powerful stuff I have ever tried. Most of the OTC products didn't work too well, so I did some searching and came across this stuff. You put it on only at night before you go to bed. I can put this stuff on and will seriously not be sweating at all (at least under my arms anyway) two days later, even when I'm working out. It normally requires a prescription, but it is OTC in Canada and you can find it for sale on ebay.

Gimme some.
I need the hardcore stuff.

I generally use Axe but it doesn't provide much wetness protection.

I used to sweat a lot too, so I went to my doctor, and he prescribed DrySol. Burns a little at night when you apply it, but completely manageble, and it goes away after a few applications. I can forget to put deodorant on for three days straight after putting it on, and it still works. If I put deodorant on everyday after using it, I use it once a week and I never sweat.

Sounds a lot like Certain Dry. I love Certain Dry. And it's OTC.

just an fyi, for me, certain dri does not work nearly as well as drysol. I know you need a script for drysol, but it is really worth it.

Agreed. I tried Certain Dry before trying Drysol and it really wasn't any better than the OTC deoderants I had been using. I find it odd that Certain Dry is 12% AlCl, while Drysol is 20%, but is much more powerful. The first time I applied it, I had a terrible rash on my underarms within a few minutes and barely slept that night. When you first try Drysol, be extremely cautious when applying it. You really don't need very much.

I just use whatever I have around at the time. Right now it's Degree "Shower Clean" but I find I still sweat a bit sometimes. What else is good without being super strength like this other stuff?

Whoa, whoa people. This thread is about deodorants, not anti-perspirants 😉

Deodarants are usually just spray like colognes, but they come out like an air freshner, and don't do jacksiht against sweating, they just attempt to cover up the smell. The only deodorant I've used is Axe, and they still suck.

Now, anti-perspirants on the other hand, I am using Old Spice High Endurance Invisible Solid Pure Sport. This is also a deodorant, so it also gives off a good smell (it says anti-perspirant/deodorant on the front)

Not all anti-perspirants are good smelling, and those are just anti-pesrpirants. The ones that are also good smellin, I'm assuming they are called anti-perspirant/deodorant.

i think the OP was still talking about the underarm variety.

Gillette clear with "power caps". Awesome stuff. Dries clear, doesn't stain, and the power caps actually last longer than the regular gilette clear without powercaps.

Mitchum Clear Gel Anti-Persperant and Deoderant. It's unscented, but damn does it last long. At the end of the day when I'm going to bed, the stuff is still working.

So why don't they make the whole thing out of "power caps"? Power caps, power strips, blah blah. They're all the same marketing gimmick to make you want to buy their crappy product because they have buzz words.

Don't like solids, they stain clothing too much. Gels do as well, but not as much. But haven't found a good gel. Gilette, Right Guard, all that crap does not last long enough. Trying out L'Occitane deodorant now. I only sweat when I work out now, and it smells really good when I do. But I'm not sure it was worth the price. It was about 4x as much as the crappy gilette stuff.

Drysol sounds interesting, but I would be worried about my skin. Even mild anti-perspirants like the ones I have used can cause skin irritation.

Currently using some Organic crap that uses lichen (bacteria/smell killer) that my wife bought for me at Trader Joes.

BTW, the Trader Joes shaving cream (orange tube) is the best I've ever tried.
