Best aircooling ever

I honestly don't think it gets any better than this... 2 120mm intakes, 2 120mm exhausts (counting psu) and 120mm cpu cooler. With the fan controller this can either cool like a beast or operate completely silently. I'm also pretty proud of my cabling job.

good cabling job? come on, own up, you just removed all the cables from the picture to make yourself look good didnt you 😀

looks pretty smart in there!

Classy and neat. Wiring doesn't get much tidier than that.

How's that Zalman HDD cooler for noise and vibration?

Dawza: the zalman rocks. It comes with a stencil to see where to drill if you want to bottom mount it like I did, and the rubber decouplers work great. Vibration and seek noise are vastly improved. The only thing it can't do anything about is the idle noise of the drive itself, but only total enclosures can do that anyways. I consider myself a stickler for noise, and I'm very pleased with it. I can only hear the idle noise if I'm within ten inches of the case.

Munky: the top fan helps a few degrees while under load, but IMO with the radgrill the noise it makes at full speed is not worth the 1 or 2 degree gain. I leave it at 5v all the time. But it'll come in handy if I ever want to go the watercooling route.

nice  -- one of the cleanest ive seen.

1 thing I would change would be to make the top fan an exhaust fan. That helped a few degrees for me.

EDIT: Have any higher res pics? 😱

if top fan is an Arctic Fan 12 with that patented quiet system of theirs (like the one on the Freezer), then it already is an exhaust.

I made the top fan an intake because I only have one intake fan in front, and it seemed over kill to have the rear fan, the psu, and the top fan as exhaust, so I switched it to intake to even things out.

Took some more pics, here you go...

The fan on my SI-120 actually doesn't have the holes for the clip mechanism, so it's attached to the clips with black twisty ties 😀

My eventual plan (once I get my tax return) is to get a window and a couple white cold cathodes... what do you guys think?

First - GREAT cabling job, that's one of the best I've seen

Second - GREAT fan speed controller, I have one and I love it 😀

Very nice job on the cabling. Since I have 3 hard drives, I have a bit of trouble keeping everything together. But hey, my power cables are sleeved (something that Thermaltake did correctly).

O_O wish I could do that cabling job...
I have an even better air cooling system but my cabling is crap (comparatively) and I have no camera (YET!)
Nice and clean -- you've inspired me. I'm using 5 Scythe fans, btw. And a nexus fan controller.
