Bernie Sanders

Funny, I thought I asked you a question and not the Democratic party.

Do you consider a male who labels himself a female as a female simply because he labeled himself so? Just to be clear, I'm asking you.

I'm genetics terms, no. But gender identity isn't a genetic property. When someone holds themselves out as a particular identity I have no reason to challenge it unless there is some legal or other concern or to correct a factually wrong statement ( like claiming to be a woman and pregnant when you don't possess ya uterus). Case in point, Barack Obama says he's a Christian so I have no reason to go birther and consider him to be Muslim. If Bernie is saying he's a Democract and running for the party nomination, then I'll take him at his word that he's a Democrat.

What if someone labels themselves a superhero or a spy? Those people exist, so how are they different? What about a person that believes they have to cut off on of their limbs?

I don't care what they call themselves, it comes down to behavior. Bernie holds the political positions of a Democrat. He is targeting the typical constituencies of a Democrat. He's running for the presidential nomination of the Democratic party. He walks like a duck, quacks like a duck, and he's a duck regardless of how much you want to argue he's a goose instead.

But this line of thinking dictates that there are only two groups possible. Ducks and Republicans.

His positions are indistinguishable from those of the Democratic Party. He can call himself a Martian for all I care, he's not fooling anyone that he's "Independent". Hell, even you know he isn't but for some reason you think that holding otherwise will give you some kind of political advantage. Well it won't, whatever he calls himself he'll still be the same angry old man whose only driving force is to " get even" with evil rich people.

Independent doesn't mean moderate.

The democratic party is at best Republican lite.

In reality, there is one party, the corporatist party. Corporatist R or D basically doesn't matter. They are opposite sides of the same coin.

Bernie is not a corporatist, he is a true progressive! That's why he isn't a democrat.

Rhetoric. Right.

Saying that people should be lined up and murdered is just rhetoric, from you and your side.

But MY side is full of rhetoric and stuff, so it's the exact same!!!

Your BothSidesDoIt™ tag is hanging out, chief.

Advocate for murdering your political opponents, authoritarian imbecile.
Right. You want to continue playing stupid. Or maybe I'm giving you way too much credit though and you aren't actually "playing" stupid?

Dance, moron, dance.

🙄

LOL, okay you want to play the "Democratic Party isn't good enough for me" game. Sure, Bernie will be the one to ensure you don't have to compromise any of the perfect purity of your beliefs. He's got you hooked like a fish on the bait of words you long to hear, that's for sure. I'm just wondering at what point you'll realize that it actually is bait and you're the fish.

Bernie is clearly an honest guy, and his record speaks to that. These are his beliefs. Hillary is the one throwing out bait for the gullible morons to gobble up.

On the off chance Bernie can't get the things he wants, he will compromise, as he has done countless times in the past.

Idk where this ridiculous idea that Bernie can't negotiate came from. He would be able to accomplish just as much as Hillary, if the congress is split. Probably more, because he would be starting at a better bargaining position.

You know I don't think you're wrong for having apprehensions about politicians but we have all seen politicians flip flop over time all over the place for elections.

But just look up "Sanders Greenspan" video on youtube.

There is a moment you just know this this best choice you get this election cycle.. that moment for me when Obama said in the first debate he will kill bin laden and mccain said speak softly but carry a big stick.

For me that moment in this election was when I saw that youtube video.. he was never running for president in 2003 and you find out who he really is... love him or hate him.

Sure, keep believing that if it's the fantasy that comforts you. But be aware that even Howard Dean thinks you're wrong.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KSFVsHlocxM

“He is basically a liberal Democrat, and he is a Democrat at that–he runs as an Independent because he doesn’t like the structure and money that gets involved…The bottom line is that Bernie Sanders votes with the Democrats 98 percent of the time.”

And 98% of the time means he'd be in the Top 7 of the Democratic Party of voting with the party.

Who gives a shit what Howard Dean says?

He votes with democrats, because he has to. The democrats have to put on the facade they are liberal, and throw bones to the people. The republicans then throw a tantrum, and when everyone isn't looking we get corporatist policies passed with bipartisan support.

Watch the video Indus linked. That should prove to you that these are Bernie's ideals.

The best chance for what? To vote for someone who's positions are some of the most out-of-phase with mine of anyone running this year? He has a handful of civil liberties positions I appreciate like support for black and gay civil rights and ending the drug war, but most of the rest is complete anathema to me; high octane bashing and targeting of the bourgeoisie and Big Brother paternalism that would make Hugo Chavez proud. I don't need a Nanny State overlord who thinks that one of the big problems in this country is that someone like me has too many choices of deodrant to pick from and that he'll presumably make the choice for me.

Whether you know it or not, it actually is a big problem. He is talking about the waste of our natural resources, for the sake of pointless growth. The planet is overpopulated. If everyone lived like an American, incredibly wasteful, we would need four earths to sustain the population!

Yes, authoritarian imbecile who continues to advocate for lining up political opponents and murdering them, I'm the one who is coming across as stupid.

Keep on keepin' on, clown!

I just wonder.....
Could these two come from the same mold?
Could this candidacy be the best stunt since that "other" Bernie?
Could these two little old men have something up their sleeve?
Is this just another Ponzi scheme?
One targeting investors, another targeting the electorate?
Did anyone suspect Madoff? Would anyone suspect Sanders?
I don't know. I'm just asking.

Fool me once, shame on you.
Fool me twice, shame on you again. 😉

Add to the comparison they both targeted rich folks to fund their schemes.

It's good to stir up the pot with a little game of "what-if".
I mean really, how many completely trusted Madoff with every penny they had?
And not only their fortunes, but their kids fortunes and their kids kids fortunes?
Just say what if this were actually true. You got to admit THIS would be the best con scheme since sliced bread.
Even Hillary says she likes Bernie (the Sanders one).
Not THAT would be one old man really fooling people.
And think about it, how many kids have disappeared never to be seen again after trusting a sweet faced old man offering free candy?

Oh yeah. Bernie is offering a lot of free stuff, but I wonder which Bernie is going to pay for it? 😉

I've been saying the same thing about Republicans for years. We seem to be in agreement.

Though I've been calling them Neocons based on their pro-war foreign policy. Their use of the Arab Spring was a evolution from the bluntness of the Iraq war... but the goal of "Democratization" of the Middle East was the same. People thought Obama was different but he let Hillary lead the charge.

Bush, Obama, or Clinton: Corporatist describes their domestic policy.

Yeah that's not desperate at all... ahahaha

Unethical Bernie stooping to lies and deception to amass a personal fortune! That's him alright!

Hey, if character assassination and kid level innuendo makes you all warm and fuzzy, all relaxed, I say go with it. Could make things easier to swallow should Bernie pull it off, which certainly seems possible now given Bernie's popularity and gathering momentum.

I've been here awhile, remember your posts when they weren't so very Fox and Friends. I am disappoint. 🙁
