Japan has always had a very strict immigration policy

It is a very homogeneous society. THere are no specific laws against Muslims.
I suspect that the vast majority of Muslims want to emigrate to a Western society, of which Japan is not.
Using Japan is a stupid example.
How does that make it a stupid example? Non-Muslims being prevented from entering has no logical bearing on the success or failure of the efficacy of preventing Muslims.
Refugees certainly do want to go to Japan, guess how many are allowed?
