It is a very homogeneous society. THere are no specific laws against Muslims.

I suspect that the vast majority of Muslims want to emigrate to a Western society, of which Japan is not.

I believe the general gist of the argument is why can't the US be an ethnically homogeneous society like Japan. Part of it is that low cost labor is necessary to maintain the upper rank lifestyle, which is why blacks were brought to the US and muslims to france even if the natives didn't particularly care for them per se. That's why Japan is for example in a perpetual stall, and it's only going to get worse for them as the population ages. Despite some economic disadvantage there's some support for copying them nonetheless to maintain purity.

The second part is the growing western liberal egalitarian ideal a la all men created equal, vs fractional or non-participation of lesser ethnicities. There's also some support to let some in for material reasons but roll back the clock on their civic influence.

It's a stupid example because Japanese immigration policy basically excludes everyone.. Bringing muslims into the occasion is nothing but malarkey

I don't know about the others here but I'm personally not against legal immigration. I do think we can and should screen based on risk factors. Especially when certain countries harbor those that want nothing more than to kill and maim us. It would be absolutely idiotic not to.

And second and third generation Muslims it turns out are often even more extreme than their parents. This is the case in France. In the USA it is true to a degree as well. If you read up on the individual cases of terrorism, there is a high number of second generation terrorists.

If Chinese or Hindu immigrants were waging terrorism at anything close to the rates of Muslim communities, you bet there would be a problem. But there isn't. This isn't about them taking our jobs or whatever, this is about terrorism. Economic competition is fair game, terrorism is not acceptable in the least.

Don't worry... I'm sure that my Connecticut senators and governor are working on an "Assault Truck" ban as we speak. We're good at knee jerk overreactions to tragedies in this state.

The key as NesuD stated is we need to limit these Assault Trucks so they're not so dangerous. It's not enough that they're used responsibly millions of times per day, we need to take action - any action! - now to prevent future harm to innocent bystanders. This is why I call upon the United States and the UN to impose a 5 pint limit on these Assault Trucks and their high capacity fuel tanks. If we had such a limit, these trucks wouldn't be able to reach these irresponsible speeds for such inordinately long distances, thereby saving lives.

Also, the dark painted color scheme of these Assault Trucks lends them extra lethality as they look like black helicopters the military uses. We need these Assult Truck to be painted a different, brighter, happier, color, such as Blaze Orange. This will also aide pedestrians in identifying one of these sinister Assault Trucks in enough time to steer clear (no pun intended of course).

Together, and with extra "common sense" training drivers will pay for on how not to run through pedestrians in a crowded market, extra licensing drivers will pay for after said training that indicates they indeed have received the training to not run over pedestrians in a crowded market, we can insure these Assault Trucks won't further be used in innocent loss of life.
