Here we go again. You don't know he deserted. You believe he deserted.

If you are not discharged from the service; you are AWOL or a POW.

He became a POW because he was captured.

He was not captured in the line of duty from his duty assignment.
He was captured because he left his duty station in the middle of a war zone without permission.

Then what the heck actually happened
Please explain the alternatives.

Separate the political spin from the actual happenings?

The information you call known is the information you think you know. I don't know what you know. I don't know if what you think you know is true. I don't know what you don't know you don't know. For these reasons I don't jump to opinions. I have no motivation to defend or condemn this person. I have no reason to pretend I know what I don't because I have feelings about what some have said about him. That's it.

Do you deny the information that has been released?

Or is it a figment of our imagination?

Information released by whom, exactly? And how much of it is pushing conspiracy theory at the same time? Bergdahl's former sergeant sure is.

It's remarkable how all this "information" about Bergdahl came out only after he'd been released. It's like the Army didn't tell anybody the whole story beforehand, people left in the dark possibly including the State Dept. & the White House. That would explain a lot, if true.

I don't deny anything. Also I can't confirm anything. I know neither the forces at operation here nor the motivation behind what you call information. The machinery will grind one way or another and I will remain without an opinion. I have no need for one. I am not a morality warrior who needs to pat himself on the back or condemn others who aren't as dedicated to inculcated beliefs as me because I see only machines that can't act responsibly in anything. You judge because you sleep. When you judge others you judge yourself. It is the judgmental passion of lemmings that pushes them to rush over cliffs into the sea. They are simply programmed machines. You were programmed to conform, but to what? To what, you have no idea. It was the shifting tide of somebody else's opinion. Now you have a lot of buttons and call life that which happens when one is pushed. You believe yourself to be the letters on a screen, and not the blankness on which all things are written.

That is a seriously low blow dude. Jesus Christ, you literally expect him to be right 100% of the time? You equate being wrong as lying? C'mon you are much better than that. Obama is the most honest president we have had since Jimmy Carter.
Since when is presenting facts considered a low blow? If find it ironic that you're all over Kyle and his family in a another thread for a few of his lies, yet you call Obama "honest" in spite of all the mounds of evidence I presented to the contrary. The cognitive dissonance here is amazing.

Meh, all of the Obamas supposed "lies" fall well within the realm of political necessity. They were used to accomplish a greater political good. That is how things are accomplished in our capitol. You know this.

Look at Libya...his lies and rush into an illegal war led to a failed State. Is that "a greater political good" in your book?

Me and Doc are the only people on earth who will tell their wife, if married, or our Mom, she's fat and looks absolutely stupid in that dress, and that instead of playing Cinderella's slipper in the shoe store, to go straight into the gun boats.

You can tell a man is a liar if he has kids.

http://www.washingtontimes.com/news...r-traded-for-bowe-bergdahl-a-danger/?page=all

In a pointed assessment, an Army colonel advising the National Security Council says one of the Taliban prisoners released in the Obama administration’s deal to free Army Sgt. Bowe Berghdal is a “psychopath” who poses a “danger to fellow Afghans.”
