what people are saying is that getting on him for this is retarded. there are a lot other things to complain about. not the fact he walked off the field (after time ran out and shaking hands).

Yeah but they were jimmying with the clock too. I saw the clock jump to 0 seconds remaining and stay there for a couple moments and then the nitwits reset it to 1 second. He probably started walking when it hit 0 because he just wanted to avoid the massive jam of people that end up on the field for award presentations and stupid post game interviews. Put yourself in his shoes. You just lost the biggest game of your career. You want to be stuck glad handing reporters with stupid questions in the middle of the opposing teams celebration? I wouldn't. He was very sportsmanlike giving Coughlin a hand shake and hug and congratulating him and then he headed for the locker room. If the time officials hadn't screwed up the clock he would have waited.

Yep.

And I still don't like the Patriots or Belicheck. But let this 'issue" drop.

this whole thread started out b/c i thought his excuse of saying, "I wasn't really sure of the time" was lame. too bad everyone lost sight of that.

More relevant, and certainly less moronic, than the 500 Patsy threads full of ignorant eclarations about their "greatness". Premature celebration, looks like it landed on your face BTW.....

It's a thread to create discussion, which it has. I posted a new's article, so I suppose the article writer should get the credit of being a typical shit disturber (whatever that is).

Nobody expects BB to be honest. It was a cowardly and classless act, which also should not be a shocker when considering BB. Left his team out there to finish the game and ran to hide in the locker room. Imagine a ship captain grabbing the first life boat and taking it himself while the ship is sinking and his crew is still on deck.

BOTH sides got onto the field, including some fans, and Belichek/Coughling exchanged words, then that was it. Why the hell would a coach stay on the field to watch the team who just beat him celebrate? Once you shake hands it's done. It was just a weird situation.

Honestly, I'm beginning to think that everyone who keeps trying to blow this out of proportion are only the people who watch just the Super Bowl and no other football ever. Get the fuck over it.
But think of the children..Bwuahahahaha

do you ever go outside? go get some air.

Most reasonable people see this as a non-issue (as evidenced by this thread), the only people making it an issue are drooling retards. The clock hit 0 and people from BOTH teams were walking to the middle. It was the clock operator's mistake if there truly was 1 more second left on the clock.

<Mosh> WON'T SOMEONE PLEASE THINK OF THE CHILDREN!?!?!?!

The TV clock, yes. If you watched the TV clock closely throughout the game, you'd notice that they did a piss-poor job of keeping it synced with the official clock. There were a number of "resets" that they did to fix it, and times when they stopped the clock while the official one kept ticking. While I wasn't in the actual stadium, I can only imagine that the official clock did NOT go to zero, and then get reset.
