there were plenty of kids watching at the party i was at, and not one even noticed that he was on the field, since they were running around making fun of adults that bet them money and lost. i think the role model stance is weak at best.

Considering Belichick's past problems with handshakes at the end of a game - even games he won - I think he made a point to go and shake hands no matter what. At that point in the game I think that determination to suck it up and go shake hands had overridden his awareness that the game might not be completely over and he set out to do what was probably really hard for him to do. Obviously it wasn't the best thing he could have done but given the circumstances it could have been worse. It ended up being a bit sore loserish but I'm sure it was just because he just really wasn't thinking straight (or at all) at the time. I mean come on, the shock of losing the Superbowl despite having the 'greatest NFL team of all time'?

i never claimed they were the greatest team ever as that's a useless arguement with the difference in eras.
the giants outplayed and outcoached the pats= pats lose.
unlike you and your steeler fan club, when we lose, i don't go looking for stats that the pats won in and say "well, if it wasn't for 3 or 4 plays and if this had happened or that had happened, we would have won." :laugh:

It could have been the time....we had a guy at work once leave at 3:45pm because when he asked if anyone knew if it was 5 yet another said 'yeah, 15 past actually'. Dude walked out went to his car and called us when he got home saying he didn't mean to leave an hour early.
We were hysterial.
We now call 3:45pm, 5pm AST (artie standard time).

NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell said Wednesday at the Pro Bowl that the NFL is willing to give former Patriots video assistant Matt Walsh legal indemnification for any information and materials he would provide to the league regarding his work with the Patriots.
"From Day 1, I said if we feel there is new information that's inconsistent with what we've been told [by the Patriots], I reserve the right to reopen it."
What Goodell said was they couldn't find any evidence on the taping in the previous investigation. BUT, he also said that the Patriots only turned over SIX tapes and they most likely had recorded over the tapes before.
Asked why the Patriots turned over six tapes, he replied: "That's what they had. My guess is they taped over some of those from time to time ... their notes were reflective of that."
Well DUH. That game was in 2002!!!! No shit they've already destroyed the tapes or flat out just not given everything to the NFL. You'd be a stupid blind pats fanboy to think they only taped a few games and didn't tape a walk-through if they had the opportunity. Don't be an idiot.
