What I don't understand is this:
Why is it that the national media is so quick to try and find the "best 1-loss teams" yet they NEVER mention Michigan or Ohio State. All of the human polls have Michigan and tOSU at 1 and 2. One of those teams is going to lose to the other. Let's say it is a very good and close game (as UM/tOSU tends to be). The team that loses will have lost to the #1 team in the BCS. Michigan and tOSU are projected to have played the 3rd and 9th toughest schedule, respectively, in the nation after November 18th. Why is it so far fetched to believe that the two best teams in the country are UM and tOSU? Isn't that what the BCS was supposed to help decide?
Yeah, I was thinking that too. But the voters don't take too kindly to a loss of any kind, especially the week after. It's always been that way.
I wonder what
would need to happen for OSU/Michigan to have a rematch in the title game? I think that OSU would have to be the 1-loss team. Seems like Michigan is weighted too low under OSU for them to lose and stay ahead all the other 1-loss teams.
