Batman Arkham Knight

gorcorps

aka Brandon
I went to find a thread to talk about how excited I am about this coming out tomorrow... but there's no thread dedicated to it yet (I even searched):hmm:

First game I preordered in a long time, and I know I'll enjoy it. Reviews seem to indicate the Batmobile tank seems out of place, and near the end gets kind of boring, but it sounds like what made the previous Batman games great is still there.

When I played the first game, I thought it was so good I did 100% on the item collecting. Since then, I haven't even finished City, let alone started the 3rd installment even though I own it. I need to pick them back up!

I want to know where to buy the game to get the best free "exclusive DLC".

Anyone look into this?

Or a place to get it for less than the $60 sticker.

I think I did get an e-mail from Gamestop saying that if you trade in any PS4 game, they will knock 10% off the price of Batman.

It's hard to play them back to back because they're pretty similar (same w/ people who buy a bunch of Assassin's Creed games at once and try to attack them all at once). I played them as they were released and I liked every one of them. Open world action is my bread & butter genre, so I'm going to enjoy myself regardless.

Mine came with my GTX970, preloaded and ready to annoy the wife with more game time instead of Honey-do's.. ofcourse after I swap out the Evap cooler motor on the roof.

I preordered at Dell for the PS4 when they were offering a $15 coupon with it. I originally got a $25 coupon when I preordered MKX from Dell and it expired at the end of July and Arkham Knight was the only game coming out that I was interested in.

I enjoyed Arkham Asylum and Arkham City but only played about half an hour of Arkahm Origins. I'm looking forward to Arkham Knight and all the reviews I've read so far (except gamespot) have said it's a great game.

I'm wondering if they'll be a significant price drop in a couple of months since every game site is bombarding me with deals for the pc version not to mention all the codes that were given away with video cards being sold on ebay.

I'm undecided weather to get it on ps4 or PC. If I upgrade my gpu sometime this summer than definitely PC since I've played the others on PC. There isn't any online mode so its not a matter of friends getting it on ps4 for that reason.

This one looks great but I expect it not to deviate much from the way the others have played.

Sounds like its a total mess on PC right now. Another half-assed, sloppy port that will need a half a dozen patches to get where it should be.

I'd vote PS4.

Yea I just browsed the steam forum right now before work. It looks very problematic and I wonder if the Denuvo drm has anything to do with any of the issues. I think people with the titan had issues as well. Wonder how the fury x will handle the game.

That's odd. I've played the rest of them on PC and didn't have issues. Some performance hiccups here and there but nothing that made me think it was a bad port.

I played this for a few hours last night. I liked that it felt just like the others to the point that I was playing on "hard" and still was flowing through my combos like I had just finished the other games. It's much prettier than the other ones which is good and bad. At times the amount of stuff just started to blend together, that mostly happened when I was driving around in the Batmobile. Speaking of, that's the one thing I'm really unsold on. I normally suck at driving in video games, just something I've never cared about and while the batmobile does handle better, it's still got that GTA driving around town feeling. I prefer zip lining around but that's just me. I also didn't really care for Jonathan Banks as Gordon. The voice just didn't really work for me. Outside of that, it's the same game as the others. If you liked them, you'll like this.

Got the game on ps4. On PC it is a total clusterf###. The game looks nearly identical on PC and ps4 when you set it to high on PC. They even said the water physics are better on ps4 than whatever game works stuff is used on PC. Plus the frame rate issues and crashing, hogging memory (someone said it used 15GB of their 16GB total system memory. I didn't want to deal with all that.

Wow I was running out of virtual memory in witcher 3. Guess I should also grab it for ps4. Need to trade in far cry 4 as I don't play it anymore.

Yeah I mean, someone said "8GB might not be enough" and I took a step back like "what?!". Witcher 3, GTA5, & Shadow of Mordor don't even come close to using my system memory. VRAM ok if you got some crazy textures and draw distances with AA going on I can see, but that's not happening here.

It's supposed to be a great game though.

After reading everything the PS4 version is the way to go; the PC version is a mess. Still, if you're not going to buy it now the PC version may be fixed and cheap by the time you pick it up. If you're looking to play it now then definitely get the PS4 version.

Yea and by that time I may also have a new gpu or ram. We will see, gonna try and trade some ps4 games in at best buy that I don't play anymore. Waiting for the fury x reviews tomorrow.
