Bands that sound good on CD but suck live...

She has her good and bad times... depends on the song. I have a few of their live vids. The guitars were good though... at least when Moody was still around.

I went and saw them two years ago, and they sounded awesome, almost exactly studio quality.

I also saw Good Charlotte with them, and I hate to say it, but I was thoroughly unimpressed.
 
Pretty much every concert I've been to, the band sounded awful. It's pretty much like they forgot how to mix everything properly and just royally screwed it up. There are exceptions though, not all are terrible sounding.

Blink?! Blink is one of the very few bands that might even sound BETTER live than on stage. I know Evanesence SUCKS BIG TIME, I'm giong to go see System of a Down in a few weeks in LA live, I heard some of their other live stuff and some of it sucked. The problem is they layer their instruments on top of each other so they have like 3-4 guitars playing at once on the mastered CD, but when they play live they don't bring extra players.

Dude, you have to be kidding me... Blink is horrible live... majority of people would agree if they are not a die-hard fan...

Seriously, as much as I like them, they blow live.
 
No Doubt sucked, STP sucked because Scott Weiland was completly wasted.

Best I've seen so far has been Linkin Park, Staind, and Incubus.
