yea, because EMT's are used to delivering premature babies with no equipment...
so doing nothing is better why again?

they told the workers to call 911 ... what more do you think they could have done?
and since nobody else in the store did anything, should they all have died too?
The EMT had at least a moral obligation to render aid with the premature baby and mother.
Karma's a bitch sometimes...
So lawyers have usurped our morality? May be true but still sucks. Then they help, they can't save them, then they get sued.
I don't know, I'm not an EMT. Maybe you should ask an EMT what they would do in a situation where someone is in distress? They'd probably know, since it's their fucking JOB and they were TRAINED to do it.
That much does bother me. I don't know why people are incapable of at least picking up the damn phone if they see someone who's obviously in need of help. Still, the EMTs probably should have called. They'd probably be able to give more useful information to the people on the other end of the line.
when you do wrong things, life has a way of bringing bad things back to you.[/B]

assess her situation, checked to see what was wrong, and delivered the baby while someone called 911 for help.
he's knowledgeable about what to do... the average person on the street is not.

and if something went wrong he would have been sued. Good samaritans get the short end of the stick these days.
read MJinz response above as what EMT's are trained to do in case of births of this such...
apparently everyone assumes they are knowledgable and trained on how to deliver babies, but MJinz who is certified EMT says otherwise.
Combined with the fact they were under criminal investigation for their lack of action.mjinz isn't an emt. emts are taught how to deliver babies as they go. also, he wasn't taught problematic deliveries. that doesn't mean he wasn't taught deliveries.
that still doesn't negate the fact that he's more qualified to stay with the lady than anyone else there was and help her every way he can until the paramedics arrive to deliver the baby.

Karma says otherwise.EMT's or police, or fire fighters for that matter have no obligation to help someone in distress. There are many court cases that defend this principle, one of which is http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Warren_v._District_of_Columbia.
How does science explain Karma?
IN any case, no I was not trained for problematic births. Actually, IIRC, any birthing involves calling for backup - which is the default response for any EMT ("Call for ALS or Advanced Life Support"). Paramedics would then arrive to deal with the situation while the EMTs provide support.
Karma says otherwise.
A soul resolves their Karma over countless lifetimes. Karma is being used in this situation as a cute little buzz word and not for it's real meaning.
She had a seizure, it was not birth related.
