I don't even know why anyone would try to find a reason to defend these EMTs as if by doing so suddenly makes it not ok for him to be shot. He didn't deserve to be shot regardless but that's beside the point. The 2 events are not related at this point. So maybe the EMT provoked the gunman, maybe it was random... in any case, like I said, if anyone were to be shot at all, at least it happened to douchebags instead of a random innocent stranger which I might feel bad about.

A soul resolves their Karma over countless lifetimes. Karma is being used in this situation as a cute little buzz word and not for it's real meaning.

There are Hindu and Buddhist interpretations of Karma and what you described is, as I understand it, more of a Hindu perception of Karma.

Classically many Buddhists may see Karma as simply the actions that you take. So if you act like a prick (i.e. do bad things) then your actions may create an environment where you too will experience suffering (i.e. bad things happen to you). Likewise if your actions create a good environment then you will likely not suffer.

So in a sense this could be described by Karma, just depending on with whom you speak and their interpretations.

Suffering is created by unfulfilled desires.

By choosing to take joy in the death of this guy you are creating bad karma for yourself. Bad karma which justifies retribution by your own words.
Reread my posts and other than the flippant reply to Sunny, I'm not see any joy. I'll try to save a kitty just in case.

lol and that thread has 13 posts. Funny how people don't care about good news 😛

Well, it's kind of expected. It's a little more special when an absolute civilian helps someone, because people don't do shit anymore. When you're wearing a uniform of any kind, people expect you to help. If you're wearing a uniform and DON'T help, especially when that uniform says your specially trained in the problem at hand, well, people start getting shitty about it.

Emergency Medical Technicians and Paramedics
People's lives often depend on the quick reaction and competent care of emergency medical technicians (EMTs) and paramedics. Incidents as varied as automobile accidents, heart attacks, slips and falls, childbirth, and gunshot wounds require immediate medical attention. EMTs and paramedics provide this vital service as they care for and transport the sick or injured to a medical facility.

At the EMT-Basic level, coursework emphasizes emergency skills, such as managing respiratory, trauma, and cardiac emergencies, and patient assessment. Formal courses are often combined with time in an emergency department or ambulance. The program provides instruction and practice in dealing with bleeding, fractures, airway obstruction, cardiac arrest, and emergency childbirth. Students learn how to use and maintain common emergency equipment, such as backboards, suction devices, splints, oxygen delivery systems, and stretchers.
They should have at least tried to help, despite their lack of equipment at that location. What goes around, comes around. Unfortunate for him, something bad happened this time.

not that i am defending this guy, but i like to get all the facts on the table which the OP failed to do.

Green and Jackson were on a break while working as dispatchers that morning when it was alleged employees in the shop told them a pregnant cashier, Eutisha Rennix, was having a seizure. Witnesses claimed the pair left without doing anything to help.

The 25-year-old woman, who was six months pregnant, later died at a hospital. Her baby was delivered but died two days later.

The Fire Department suspended Green and Jackson for 30 days without pay before reinstating them. The Brooklyn district attorney's office said Monday that it was still investigating Rennix's death. No charges have been filed.

In an interview this year with The New York Times, Green and Jackson said that Rennix's co-workers never made clear there was an emergency, and that Jackson called a dispatcher for help before they went back to work.

Accusations that the pair callously ignored someone in distress are "all bogus and lies and fabrications," Green said.

Also, this has nothing to do with revenge.

Police said Sunday's shooting occurred after a friend of Green's was turned away from the Greenhouse nightclub because he was wearing shorts. While Green, the friend and two women were talking outside, a car with three men inside pulled up and tried to park where they were standing.

An ensuing argument escalated into a fistfight between Green and one of the men that spilled out onto the street, police said. The man pulled out a gun and shot Green two times before the men fled in the car.

Karma is like you did something in your previous life, then you will pay for its sequence in your current life.

This is not Karma, just a pure coincidence.

I report both Fox articles, you decide.:sneaky:

Like you got all the facts from Mr Green's interview. lol
The other witnesses said:
Witnesses claimed the pair left without doing anything to help.
Green's lawyer said "His 32-year-old client "was a good guy and a dedicated emergency medical technician," he said. "It's very sad."

And it was still under investigation by the D.A.

Here's the new article with pic since Fresh didn't link.

read MJinz response above as what EMT's are trained to do in case of births of this such...

apparently everyone assumes they are knowledgable and trained on how to deliver babies, but MJinz who is certified EMT says otherwise.
He didn't say they weren't, and a quote later in the thread shows that they are trained for emergency child births. Living in a small rural community that depends on volunteer firemen & ambulance crews, I know several EMT's who have helped deliver babies - some several times.

Note: the "facts" are based on their side of the story. They were suspended for 30 days, so I'm a little suspicious that their side of the story isn't entirely accurate.
