Yo Schneider, I'm real happy for you and Imma let you finish, but bacon is the greatest food of all time.

I have nothing against bacon, it tastes good. But it's not the food of the gods like the bacon fanboys would have you to believe.

In fact, CHEESE is.

Think of a bacon cheeseburger. Would it be any good if you took out the cheese? Nope. No one eats bacon burgers. Would it be any good if you took out the bacon? Yep, still tasty, not as tasty as with the bacon, but still tasty.

Cheese makes many more foods taste good than bacon. Without cheese you wouldn't have pizza. Burritos and pasta and burgers wouldn't be as delicious. Our civilization would be dreary and bleak without cheese. We could survive without bacon, but not without the REAL best food evar, cheese.

pancetta. Ftw

to be fair, bacon is like cheating.

cheese has far more variety and potential than bacon.

It's also one of those super cool foods involving human awesomeness. bacon doesn't require substantial effort and ingenuity to create. Unlike cheese.

I agree with the OP cheese trumps bacon but both are still good.

I disagree if we are judging on either being eaten alone, especially when compared to properly cooked bacon.

There is far more variety in cheese and it certainly does have more potential in combinations with other foods of course. Apples and oranges anyways. Bacon is fucking awesome.

Edit:

I'm going to add that the Mrs. and I actually had BLT's tonight. We got peppered bacon and it was the perfect god damn fucking choice.

Peppered bacon dipped in maple syrup is where it's at. Cheese is for the French.

you can grab any of several varieties of cheese out of your fridge, slice it up and throw it on some bread, or spread it, whatever, and enjoy in a few minutes.

bacon must be cooked. it produces waste that can not be tossed into drains, but must be collected in cans and disposed of in other ways.

I would rather eat cheese on it's own than bacon on it's own. I feel like such a fatass shoveling in strip after strip of bacon D:

Both are very low carb and higher protein. Bacon does nto make you fat. Fatty foods do not turn into body fat. overprocessed junk food (full of carbs) makes you fat. Bread makes you fat.

That "waste" you speak of can be used to assist in cooking other foods, to make them tastier. In other words, it gets recycled and therefore is not waste.

I'm a fan on bacon but I can't eat too much of it or I get sick of it. I can do 3-6 strips a day for a few weeks but any more than that and I need something different. It also adds a lot of cooking time to whatever I'm eating which blows because time it is a precious commodity for me now, and probably forever.

What is something that you can eat ~2-3 servings of every day for a few weeks continuously? Staples like bread, rice, etc aside, of course.

No, eating more calories than you burn makes you fat.

Eating 1000 calories of junk food = weight loss
Eating 5000 calories of healthy food = weight gain
