That "waste" you speak of can be used to assist in cooking other foods, to make them tastier. In other words, it gets recycled and therefore is not waste.

I know, that's what I mean by "disposed of in some other way."

but again, it just reinforces the fact that bacon = cheating.

Bacon is really great but it is still overrated. See the nataliedee comic, this is how Internet people talk about all sorts of things. Bacon, waffles, Chuck Norris, etc. It gets old and makes me hate those things.
