Bachmann: Irene was political message from God

Notice how provocative the title is? But then look at the article itself:

http://www.boston.com/Boston/politi...ge-from-god/ACJ4zJCjJoqxfDK6RT4ETN/index.html

Notice the very first line:

Republican presidential candidate Michele Bachmann said yesterday that Hurricane Irene was a political message from God, the St. Petersburg Times reported. Today, however, a spokeswoman for the Minnesota representative said the remark was in jest.

So what is it that we have here.

Why didn't the title read, Bachmann jokes about Irene being a message from God and some laugh and some lose their minds? Is the intention just to insight outrage just to sell papers and gather eyes for ad revenue? I think it is.

And it's pretty sad.

She picks up the slack where Palin left off and visa versa.

In further news Rick Perry claims the hurricane was the work of the Devil. 😀

I really hope the lulz continue right through November 2012.

"I don't know how much God has to do to get the attention of the politicians. We've had an earthquake; we've had a hurricane. He said, 'Are you going to start listening to me here?'" Bachmann said at a campaign event in Sarasota, Florida on Sunday.

^^ lulz ^^

Wait a second... I just realized something! This is absolutely BRILLIANT on the part of the Republican party. Put forth a bunch of complete loons, allow them to make complete idiots and asses of themselves, then sneak in the quiet, respectable candidate who will look 1000 times better simply by being contrasted to these nutcases.

Now all they have to do is find a quiet, respectable candidate...

hmm, maybe putting forth the bunch of loons was actually the easy part 😀

"Today, however, a spokeswoman for the Minnesota representative said the remark was in jest."

The problem with that is trying to discern when she's really joking and when she's not because a lot of what comes out of her pie hole can't be taken any other way but as a joke, yet she gives the appearance of being serious and emphatic.....in a wide-eyed-stare-glare comical kind of way.

Well, kudos to her for finding a convenient excuse for fanning away her frequent brain farts.

You know, the more I think about it, the more I realize that McCain married the wrong person. I mean, just think about what an interesting couple Bachmann and McCain would make. Reality TV series worthy in my book. 😀

What is the message God is sending with the drought in Texas? Isn't Texas the bastion of the GOP economic policies??

Most likely the drought in Texas is the result of the evolutionarily emergent capacity of the human brain to use science to create mechanical fossil fuel burning machines as per God's Will, which, if it does not occur naturally in native Texans can be easily imported there from the real, non-knuckle-dragging world.

Actually, I think the remark by her spokeswoman was damage control rather than reality. I think Bachmann really does believe that the hurricane was a political message from God. She crazy.

As much as I hate Obama, if they run this dumb bitch Bachmann then I will vote Obama. Chances are I am voting Obama over any of the Republicans, unless its Ron Paul. As a former GOP voter I am ready to throw the GOP under the bus, not because Democrat is any better, but because I am tired of voting for the lesser of evils, and if John Mccain and Bachmann is the best they can do then I got no use for them.
