If you want to take them in a completely different direction you're more than welcome. Marty, untitled2 has a really quiet bass line (I fucked up the mastering) and I could really use a fresh set of eyes on it. I'm thinking sort of a p-bass sound, very trebly/punky since there is plenty of low end in the song from my semi-hollow guitar.

Drummer checking in. I said I would do this last time, but couldn't with school. I'm done May 1st for the summer and will be home for ~4 months. Overhead mics have been ordered (Rode NT-5's), SM57 on snare, Beta 52A on kick. Running it all through a Firepod using Cubase SX3. I might be able to do something... 😛

I'd like to start with maybe 3 projects so that there might be a little something for everyone..

*Cover song - I'd like to propose a Classic Sabbath Tune; Fairies wear boots I have a backing track with Drums and Bass parts that perhaps we could work off of. It has several guitar parts that would work well for dividing up between several guitarists, plus it's a cool Classic rocker.

*Blues number.

*Pick one of Platypus unfinished works he posted above.

Atleast you got through learning...I stopped practicing when I got to scales....I have been telling myself for the past 8 years..."I need to get better at them". I have not progressed since (well...i did a little). Like my freind says.... know so much, but I can play so little. I can play, I just can't shred.

Ok cool, if you really listen at the beginning there is some upper fret work on the bass that I kind of like but it gets swallowed in the mix, it'd be cool to bring that out more

Yeah I've been keeping it pretty high on the fret actually. It has a very Spanish feel to it. Like I said, I got some stuff with it, but I don't like what I got so far. 😛

Rick has always added something cool that made me take a song in a completely different direction, it's awesome to get collaboration happening
