But back to the original theme of this thread... how do you defend yourself against a zombie without a gun? The whole point of defending yourself against them is to not let them touch you. Are you honestly suggesting hand to hand combat with a zombie? Even if you win you'll still lose.

In Shaun of the dead Shaun uses a cricket bat... Seems to work.

Generally that's not the convention in Zombie films, as guns run out of ammo and require reloading, when you want to survive long term you need to be good at hand to hand combat with them. Unless you have an unlimited supply of Ammo...
