One IT consulting job I had, they moved me from a spot near a window to one right by the entrance from that floor. It was the data center for a brokerage, so they tended to be a little squirrely about security.

The standing joke forever after was, 'well, it's not a good sign but you don't need to really worry until they move you to a bathroom stall.'

Yeah, yuk it up guys - yuk it up.

Hahaha. China really screwed the pooch on Hong Kong. If they had taken a more hands-off approach and tolerated whatever nasty things the HKers had to say about Beijing, they'd still own HK and it might, maybe have been a sign to Taiwan that reunification wouldn't have to be something that they needed to go to war over.

OK, even I don't think that's likely, but the HK situation really has just made things so much worse than they need to be. And it might have at least made the Taiwanese start to think that maybe that wouldn't be the end of the world for them.

I don't know how China is going to fill the huge GDP hole they dug for themselves. There are public servants that are owed months of pay.

You got to be an idiot to trust that commies will keep their word.

Geez, the forum is working very well. I was going to take a break from ATF if it wasn’t working. Too aggravating.

I really hope that no one has to actually rely on MSNBC's CC. I swear that every time I go to look at it's just a word salad. I can decipher it since I know what I heard and can match the two up. But were I completely and stone deaf, it really would be pointless.

A little nippy inside the house right now. I'm at work so I let the temp drop pretty low to try to save money on gas. I'm surprised it dropped that much though since it's not THAT cold outside, but it's also on the weekend work day schedule so it didn't run at lunch.

It’s not the captioning, people talk that way now.
