Ego is a good brand too from what I hear. But yeah I went with Greenworks when I bought my chainsaw and then my toolset kind of grew from there. I have lot of batteries now. I can go in the bush with the chainsaw and all my batteries and down quite a few trees and buck into logs before I'm out of juice.

I've lost 8 lbs in 6 days. Good thing I'm on a diet I can stick to.

How many volts? See Squirrel's post. State of the art these days is 80v. That's what seems to get translated into torque at the blade.

And yes, you are correct. Wasn't it just a few years ago that it was, IDK, say 40v? It really does feel that way.

I was going to say something about existing outside of time but shit. I'm pretty baked.
56v for Ego. No problem with the power output. I bought the machine mid November and charged it up then. Apparently, after a month of no use, the batteries start to drain down to improve their longevity. That’s why I ran out of juice. Lesson learned.

I bought the Greenworks 80v one last year. So far so good, but we have yet to get an actual decent snow fall since I bought it. The most I may have done with it is like a foot at once.

Demonstration here:

I actually ran across that video when researching battery electric snow blowers! Can’t remember why I chose Ego over the others. I finished that research 3+ months ago and then waited for a sale.

This week, my fb "people you may know" feature has been showing women with huge tracts of land. Today, it showed a woman holding one of those giant lottery winner checks. I like where this is going.

Went home for lunch and now that it's light out and can see better, it really looks like winter now! To think we had a green Christmas. Now it looks more seasonal normal out there. Snow blowed the berm in front of my driveway since the plow went by and did neighbour's on both sides then ran out of time since still had to eat, so will do actual driveway after work.

Lots of roads still not plowed but they've been at it since morning. They'll do city wide overnight.
