This week is going by too fast, already Wednesday tomorrow.

I hardly have any progress on my deck, to be fair it rained all day today. I tackled the fireplace instead, was originally not going to do it this year but decided it's best to just get it over with. Good thing too as it's easier with it being open on both sides. Still have more brick to remove but getting there. Really need to force myself up early tomorrow and start earlier.

Even if it rains I can still do the main deck beams in the garage. 4x triple 2x6 beams and then add the joist hangers to it.

Twice a day? That would be my father.
Only if I had to go out, since it would start to grow over the day. My dad used to always give me trouble about that haha. Probably why I never grew a beard till later... but now that it's long he actually likes it and even the long hair. My mom is not a fan at all though. :p

Morning and covfefe nef.

Rain coming down hard. Guess I'm not working on the deck. :p Really Monday was the only day to work on it and I kinda blew it by getting up too late. Could have gotten more done.

Plenty of other days off though even if I don't finish this week. I have lot of indoor stuff to do anyway so just doing that on the rainy days.

Ordered fish and chips poutine style nef.

I'm starting to put on the beef though I really need to stop eating this crap, it's so freaking good though! Come September I will get back into the working out routine and also eating better. I'm at like 155lbs right now.

Put on another 50 first before you talk about diet.

So my fireplace is officially gone. Pics later. Now I just have a big hole between my garage and living room. Originally I was going to leave most of the brickwork in place but it turned out to be better to just take it all out so I can insulate better.

Now to decide if I want to wall it in, or have a little fun and make some kind of hatch or rotating bookshelf or something that leads to the garage. Would be kinda handy to have a way to get into the garage from inside the house...

I think I'll just wall it in though. I can always add a proper door at the very end of the wall in the future which would make more sense.

Still need to add insulation and vapour barrier, then fix the wall. Was going to tear out that entire wall so I can redo the vapour barrier as the original builders never taped it up but I think I might leave that for another time. Not sure yet. Maybe I'll get the urge to just do it and get it out of the way. Ideally I would need to do the whole house to see a real effect since as long as it's not all done it's still going to leak a lot.
