This week is going by way too fast. Almost done vacation. :( Still don't know when I start though since the current schedule ends this week. I will need to call in to get someone to send me the new one. Sometimes I only end up starting later in the week after so it's almost like having a week and a half vacation.

Just no energy this week for some reason. I'm surprised I got stuff done. Decided to just make this a break day. Ran a few errands like a Walmart run and Home Depot run though. Tomorrow I'll get back at it. At least I've been semi productive. :p

I just had like half a pot of coffee and thinking of making more. lol.

I'm at the Ballpark watching the Rangers for the first time this season. Most likely the last one ever as they are building a billion dollar retractable roof stadium for next season.

Had a Whataburger before the game.

Wine nef.

Spur of the moment decided to put in cinder blocks to cover the hole going to the garage. Turns out I suck at masonry. It's a horrible job, but it's going to do, and nobody is going to see that wall once the garage is done and the wall in living room is fixed.

My concrete guy finally showed up. Kinda glad I finished up the fireplace this week. They're going to haul away all the waste material from that job, part of the price. I was starting to wonder if I should call other companies as he was never getting back to me.

He's only going to haul away the stuff today but will start on the concrete in a week. Will be nice to have all that stuff out of my driveway.

Went to move the car but it's like the 401 on my street right now. Do kids not take the bus anymore? I don't even see any buses, just 100's of cars lined up from one end of the street to the other on both sides.

Enjoy the tax burden.

Yup. We had a special sales tax for the original ballpark that they are ending use of. Instead of retiring the tax increase when the ballpark was paid off, they kept it going for Jerry Jones (public vote approved). Paid off the Jerry's World and then they did the same thing again for to "keep the Rangers". Bullshit. I can support a little, but Arlington taxpayers are footing 50% of the billion dollar bill.

I'm at my lowest weight in 20 years. I don't think 25 years is feasable. I would have to lose an additional 19 pounds to tie that.

we killed off the mayor's idea of building a NHL size arena in my city, a suburb of Toronto. Like NHL is going to go up against Toronto and setup a franchise right next to the Maple Leafs. He got the message and kill it off, I am still pissed he is still the mayor though.

I think it's completely insane that cities pay for stadiums. It does not even make sense. A sports league and teams should be treated like any other business. They should pay for their own building like any other business would. I had no idea it was cities that paid for that until there was a John Oliver segment. Then again some cities were also willing to give tax breaks to Amazon. Seems big corporations have so much pull they can get that kind of treatment.

Starting to get cold in the house, I want to try to tough it without the heat till at least September. :p

Insulated the fire place hole at least.

The vapour barrier needs to be redone though, I tried to use some scrap sections I had lying around but they are not quite wide enough and I ran out, so I'll do it proper and cut a new section some time. I just don't want the cat eating the insulation so it will do for now. I need to open up that wall a little bit more to fix it properly, will do that another time.

I think I will not bother to redo the entire wall, maybe with simply that part insulated it will help my heat loss issue. If not I may very well tear out the complete wall so I can reinsulate. If I do the whole wall I'd do it proper and use roxul.

I just spent over an hour editing a video, the file randomly went corrupt, it keeps saying clips are missing when they're not and it won't let me open it. Freaking kdenlive piece of shit. Wish there were better options in Linux that arn't so quircky. I really don't feel like starting over. I really need to find a better editing program. I might have to say screw it and use a windows one. But all the decent ones are subscription based now.
