Saw a historic house once that had black metal plates at the top of the chimney. I normally wouldn't have understood the significance, but I had recently read an article on it. The plates heat up, and it causes an updraft, so you get a natural "fan", and it doesn't require modifying a historic house.

It's raining here again which is unusual, a hurricane usually sucks most the stuff along with it.

Hermine was a bit loosely formed from wind shear I guess, so that was it, I imagine.

Which is a good thing, diminished the power a lot.

Not quite but this time of year is super unpredictable. It could easily snow tonight lol. Forecast says 18 though so still quite warm.

Actually I need to buy a cover for my A/C unit. Hopefully they're still selling those. Bet they're selling snow blowers right now.
