I'm convinced that higher education is going to directly lead to the downfall of society.

They are now involved in politics, finance and religion. They are working on controlling society by controlling knowledge. Its bad enough now that they don't even deny its going on.

There is a book called Piercing the Darkness. It basically plays out what's currently going on with government, religion and education. Call Santorum a nut but he got it exactly right.
