But the gist of it is - I'm screwed, because once the wait list voids, I would need to ask the instructor of the course, and the head of the chemistry department, to grant me permission to join the course, and then could be enrolled.

At that point, I'll be behind already the first whole week, and then however many days. Many professors will refuse to enroll late students on the grounds of not being able to catch up. So the registrar's office changed the policy, and now they're passing the buck to other people for their failings.

Good point. But still believe that it should be up to the girl.

The whole "it is my body, so it is my choice" argument doesn't float. You DON'T have the right to do what you want with your body even under current law. Many drugs are illegal. You can't drink alcohol unless you're a certain age.

My wife and I argue about this all the time. She is very much pro-choice.

And I would argue that many current laws are screwed up. You should be allowed to drink alcohol, 18 at the very least, and maybe before that. Europe doesn't have a fuckton of alcohol problems, despite their more permissive laws. Same with drugs - marijuana should absolutely be legal.

It is your body, and you absolutely should have far fewer restrictions on it.

So now I get to wait until the wait list clears, which is probably at midnight, then I have to send emails off to the dean of chemistry and the professor of the necessary class, requesting enrollment, probably also explaining why I need that class at this time.

Leo DiCaprio, now boning Erin Heatherton. So, fast recap.
Spends several years with Bar Refaeli, breaks up with her in May 2011.
During the span of eight months, bangs Blake Lively (actress), Madalina Ghenea (Romanian model), possibly an Aussie model or two, Ashley Greene (actress/model), and now Erin Heatherton (a VS model).

Seriously, what the hell.

And Taylor Swift is writing bitchy lyrics about a third ex-boyfriend.

Note to TS: when three relationships in a row have bombed, maybe, just maybe, it's not them.
